When Farmersville was founded in 1865, it was a small town of about 100 people. By the early 1900s, it had grown to be one of the largest coffee towns in California. The town's coffee industry began with subsistence farming, and continued until after World War II when larger plantations were established. However, even today, Farmersville is home to some of the best-quality bean beans in all of California. The first coffee beans were brought overland by wagon from Mexico City in 1846. At that time, there was no railway system in California so goods traffic between San Francisco and Los Angeles was slow and expensive. In 1850, a group of Californio farmers decided to start growing coffee on their property in what is now Farmersville. The first crop yielded only 6 pounds per acre but this proved successful and the farmers started planting more beans. They also began to grow chia seeds which would become another important part of the local economy. In 1865, two men named John and Hiram Perry arrived from Illinois with two horses and set up a small shop selling coffee (and other goods) at what is now Sixth Street/Route 91 south of downtown Farmersville. This initial business venture failed but Perrys descendants continue to run their business today as Perry Coffee Roasters Incorporated (PCCR). PCCR has been operating since 1963 and continues to produce world-class coffee through its own roasting plant located on Townsquare Drive near downtown Farmersville. During Prohibition (1916 – 1933), the local agricultural community did notavored beer or liquor so they saved their most valuable product for times of need - Coffee! For many years prior to prohibition, Coffee Roasters exported quality beans directlyto markets worldwide including Europe where they enjoyed high demand due to our superb flavor profile! Farmersville is a small town in Kern County, California, and is the location of the former Farmersville Coffee Company. The coffee company was founded in 1906 by farmers who traded beans with other farmers in the area. The first farmhouse in Farmersville was built around 1875. In 1924, the company moved its main production facility to an older house on North Fourth Street. The original equipment used to produce coffee was stored in a barn that still stands today. In 1984, the company merged with two other companies and became known as Farmersville Coffee Corporation. Today, Farmersville Coffee Corporation produces organic decaffeinated coffee from their own roasting facilities and sells through local stores.
Farmersville is a small, struggling town in California. It's located in the Kern County seat of Bakersfield, about an hour east of Los Angeles. The population was 7,471 at the 2010 census. Farming has been the basis of its economy for centuries and it still relies on this activity to some degree today. The first settlers in Farmersville were Mormons who arrived during the Gold Rush in 1848. They built a shrine to their god, Jesus Christ, and named their town after him. After a couple of years, the Mormons decided to move away and began farming elsewhere. The next group to arrive here were German immigrants who had come overland from Germany during the late 1800s. They started out fishing and trading goods with the local Indians before settling down as farmers. Some of these early settlers had families that moved here permanently when they acquired land or bought it from others who had fled immigration policies at that time. Over time, more people came to Farmersville: Italians in 1906; Japanese Americans in 1942; Koreans in 1951; and Latinos (Chicanos) in 1998. All these newcomers brought their own culture with them and helped shape what is now known as Farmer’svillianism—the belief that Farmersville should be its own municipality like other towns within its boundaries. The current incarnation of Farmer’sVillage began around 1960 when a committee organized by then-Mayor John Elder made recommendations on how to improve local infrastructure including expanding education opportunities and creating jobs for locals through businesses such as grocery stores, restaurants, truck stops etcetera."

The first European settlers in North America brought coffee beans with them when they began their arrival in 1607 AD. Coffee was cultivated and brewed for centuries in West Africa before it reached Europe, where it enjoyed some popularity as a beverage until the 18th century. In 1795, Dutch traders Introduced coffee to New York City and soon spread its use throughout the colonies. Coffee became one of the United States’ primary imports after independence and continued to be popular until 1924 when prohibition ended its production. Coffee is now enjoyed all around the world and continues to be a major source of revenue for many businesses.
To date, coffee has been enjoyed by humans for over 4,500 years. The first evidence of coffee brewing was found in Banas Indica, a crop from the Andes mountains in South America. Coffee beans were roasted and brewed using a variety of methods including hand-throwing and firing clay pots. In the Middle East, Arabic traders and travelers brought back seeds of the cedar tree (Cedrus atlantica) which may have contributed to the spread of coffee plants across Eurasia. In 1795, Dutch explorer Hendrick van Rooyen discovered Java's Manado River while exploring Indonesia's Moluccas region. He called it "Java" because he thought its inhabitants resembled those in Java—a belief held by many Europeans at the time. Dutch traders began trading with the local people and soon discovered that they grew coffee beans. By 1815, Dutch traders had planted more than 100 coffee trees in Borneo and Indonesia. The first espresso machines were invented in 1875 by Italian inventor Angelo Moriondo. Coffee was introduced to Europe through Spanish sailors who brought roasted beans ashore on their ships during their travels around South America and Africa during the 16th century. In 1912, Italian engineer Giovanni Legna designed an espresso machine based on his own design: a water Tank with grounds feeder connected to a Lever Actuated Pump (LAP). This machine permitted PRISM Automatic Coffee Makers which were developed into La France Trench Machines by Harry Nyquist in 1944
Farmersville was founded in 1849 by farmers who left Sacramento, California for the then new Gold Rush. The town quickly grew, and soon had a post office, a school, and a few businesses. In 1876, the town became an incorporated city. By 1909, Farmersville had over 100 residents and 10 businesses. The population rapidly declined in the 1930s as World War II pulled many of the town’s residents to serve in the military or leave for other reasons. However, with the growth of farming in California during and after World War II, Farmingville returned to its early prosperity and has remained relatively stable since then. Today, Farmersville is home to a small but vital community of farmers who continue to operate their farms and businesses integral to its economy.
