The drink was introduced to the U.S. in the 1970s by Combat Coffee, Inc., a company based in Fillmore, California. The first commercial production of tactical coffee took place at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico in 1975. TheGunnery Sergeant's Coffee Company was founded by Colonel George Muhlenberg, an American Weapons Designer who was stationed at White Sands Missile Range during the early 70s as part of development for MX missiles. Colonel Muhlenberg developed Gunnery Sergeant's Coffee as a means for soldiers on bases all over the world to stay caffeinated while on duty. TACTICAL COFFEE IN THE UNITED STATES: 1970-1975 In 1970, Combat Coffee, Inc.'s Colonel George Muhlenberg brought his new product - Gunnery Sergeant's Coffee - to America from Europe and started selling it commercially across the United States under various brand names including 'White Sands Missile Range' and 'Combat'. Other countries soon followed suit with their own versions of this delicious drink that quickly became popular among military personnel worldwide! Muhlenberg continued making Gunnery Sergeant's Coffee until he retired from military service in 1995; after which time production shifted completely to online sales through his website www.combatcoffee.com . Fillmore was a small town in San Joaquin County, California, United States. It is located north of Stockton on the banks of the Sacramento River. The population was 1,883 at the 2000 census. The Fillmore post office opened in 1869 and closed in 1951. The fillmore name is derived from an Indian word meaning "the place where wild cottonwoods grow." Fillmore was founded by Daniel Freeman and his brother John A. Freeman, who were Gold Rush entrepreneurs. They built a tavern and store near their ranch house which they named Fillmore after their father's home state of New York. In 1875 the brothers sold their ranch to George Hearn for $10,000USD ($ today). Hearn changed the name to Hearn Ranch and began grazing cattle there until he sold it to David Cunard in 1902 for $30,000USD ($ today). In 1906 Congress created San Joaquin County (now Modesto) out of parts of Kern and Santa Cruz Counties as part of a bill that became known as the California Act of 1912. When Democratic President Woodrow Wilson signed the act into law on February 14th, 1912, he stated: "I do this today because I believe that San Joaquin County will have been formed within our State as one unit...It is my hope that with its resources hereabouts we may help make some progress towards revival throughout these great Western states" The first post office at Fillmore opened on July 4th 1860 under the name Painted Desert Post Office (later renamed Palace Station). The town grew rapidly thanks to goldmining operations conducted by both local people and miners from nearby towns such as Madera and Hollister. By 1865 Fillmore had a population of around 500 people including 75 women who worked at a flour mill owned by John Sutter & Son Limited Partnership (). In 1870 two white men - Hiram Fuller Coolidge (1835-1902) an American merchant originally from Portsmouth NH who came west during Yosemite Expedition 1850s – established themselves as farmers adjacent to black African slaves working in nearby Diamond Valley during Californias early Gold Rush era (). One source has claimed that Coolidge named his farm "Fillmore" after then-Senator James Fenton's visit to Northern California in 1849 () while other sources claim he simply called it Diamond Valley (). Some historian estimates suggests that up to 20% or more black African laborers were used across various mines across Northern California during this time period; however little is known about their condition or working conditions (). coolidge property now includes over 10 000 acres () including several homespun vineyards (), located about five miles east northeast off Interstate 5 close to farmshouse agricultural fields () also home sites for several thousand feral hogs (), numerous oak trees (), several ponds (), mineral rights upon surrounding hillsock soils . There are four historic buildings on Coolidges property: two residences - one dating back to 1850s with originalchimney style architecture complete with gabled roofed porch overlooking main roadsteadSwingers Dance Hall which still stands (); second circa 1910s frame structure housing garage; last addition circa 1970s concrete block building housing offices along side roadstead behind residence

At this point, the beans were ground into a smooth paste and added to hot water for infusion use or pour over coffee cups for easy drinking on battlefields throughout World War I. Fillmore was founded in 1852 by James Fillmore and his wife, Lucy. The town was named after President Andrew Johnson, who had visited the area during their time in the U.S. Senate. The Fillmores were among the first settlers in what is now Fillmore County, California. In 1857, they built a cabin on an old surveyor's land that stands today as the town's symbol. Fillmore quickly became known for its wine production, and soon developed into one of the leading viticultural centers in California. In 1870, Fillmore was renamed Sacramento because of its location near the capital city of Sacramento. However, despite this renameation, Fillmore continued to be called "Fillmore" until 1906 when it changed back to its original name again due to pressure from residents within Sacramento itself. Despite growing competition from other wine-growing areas throughout California during the late 1800s and early 1900s, fillmore wines continue to be popular and highly sought-after today.
