Fountain Valley is a small town in the Inland Empire of Orange County, California. It has a population of about 508 people, most of whom are located in Fountain Valley Village and Fountain Hills. The town was founded by George W. Fountaine in 1907 on land he purchased from the Kumey family. By 1951, it had grown to include the buildings at its current location, including the Post Office and the Masonic Temple. In 1957, Fountain Valley became an incorporated city.
