Fountain Valley is a city in Riverside County, California. It was established on November 1, 1887 by the merger of two smaller towns: Fountain and Northglen. The city charter stated that it would be “the home of the National Guard” until May 31, 1951 when it became an independent city under the name of Riverside. The National Guard began its history as a part-time militia unit in 1909 and was activated for World War II in 1942. In 1952, the National Guard left Riverside for good and moved to Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in neighboring San Diego County. National Guard units have been present at various points throughout American history. One example is the 101st Airborne Division's deployment to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003; this was also one of the first times a United States military division had ever deployed outside of America's mainland borders since World War II. Another example is the Colorado National Guardsmen who served as peacekeeping forces in Haiti between 1996 and 1998 following Hurricane Mitch; this was also one of only times U.S.-supported military forces have been sent abroad to assist another country while their own armed force remains stationed within America. Today, there are more than 4500 members of the National Guard hosting over 350 detachments across 49 states and Washington D.C.; many units now serve twice-yearly deployments overseas with multiple tours through different parts of the world including missions such as Spring Awakening exercises which take place at Fort Bliss near El Paso, Texas every April; visible displays along I-10 near Phoenix AZ commemorate Unit Bravo Company from El Centro CA deploying from March 20th - April 5th 2016 for competition with other US Army Infantry companies located out west; A recent addition to Fountain Valley's national guard gift history is Unit Two Four Zero (U2FC) which arrived on October 15th, 2017 from Fort Hood TX where they were being held pursuant to their order dated September 2nd, 2017 permitting their return home after being absent since February 17th due to active duty with The Imperial Japanese Army (JNA). Upon arrival they were met by Mayor John Burton who presented them With A Cordon Of Flowers And A plaque On Their Homefront Chapel floors read "Here In honor Of Our fallen Brothers In arms Who Gave Their lives For Us"

Fountain Valley is a small town in southern California, located about 30 miles east of Los Angeles. The population was 9,436 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Carson–Laurence–San Bernardino statistical area. Fountain Valley's name comes from two springs that fed the community: Fountain and Valley. One source says the first inhabitants may have been Indians who hunted game near the springs. By 1875, a post office had been established at Fountain and Indian Springs Roads. In 1916, work began on building a water main to bring water to the community from Springdale Lake in nearby Rancho Cucamonga. On October 21, 1916, it was officially renamed Fountain Valley after President Woodrow Wilson's visit to Southern California that year. The first store opened in 1925 and the last store closed in 1984; however, both buildings remain standing today as cultural landmarks in Fountain Valley. Theaters were also popular during this time with shows like "The Three Musketeers" and "A Tale of Two Cities". Today there are few businesses open other than restaurants or shops which serve as fronts for home-based businesses or Bed & Breakfast inns (some still use their original names). One reason for its declining popularity? Population growth rates over the years have outpaced crime rates by far – some say because residents are more likely to intermingle with other communities instead of staying isolated behind fences like many do in rural America today

The line was made up of men from all over New England who volunteered to fight for America. The line fought in many battles and earned a reputation as one of the best forces in the Revolution. In 1785, Congress established an even more specific national guard regiment, called the Connecticut Line. This regiment was made up of men fromConnaught County,New York. The regiment served in many battles during the Revolution and was credited with playing a major role in helping America win her war against Great Britain. During World War I, American soldiers served in Europe and Asia as part of various units such as Combat Infantry Brigades and Tank Battalions. Some members of the National Guard also worked on construction projects such as bridges and airports across America. After World War II, some members of the National Guard were drafted into Vietnam due to president Lyndon Johnson's decision to send combat troops there instead of providing them with military training or support. After that experience, many people started to question how well-equipped our country's military really is when it comes to fighting abroad. Some people decided to start organizing their own volunteer militias called "National Guards" which can be found throughout America today!
