The United States Army was founded on April 14, 1775 in Galt, California. The first unit to be raised in the area was the 1st Battalion of the Continental Marines and they were given land at Camp Gabriel by Governor Manuel Nieto. In 1846, Galt became a town and was renamed Fort Point after Commodore George Vancouver who explored the San Francisco Bay Area during the Mexican-American War. The fortification of Fort Point made Galt one of the most important military posts in Northern California. In 1860, when California became a state, General James K. Polk ordered all U.S. forces to withdraw from Mexico City due to its growing strength as a country and its increasing military might compared to that of Great Britain and France combined. As part of this order, all American troops were mustered out over an period of several months with their gear and equipment being transferred back to their home stations across America as part of what is known as "the died in battle" policy. The American Civil War began on April 12th 1861 with Confederate forces attacking Fort Sumter in South Carolina. On April 15th 1861 Peninsula Campaign began with Union forces advancing into Southern California under General Winfield Scott which ended on May 6th 1861 near Yuma River Bridge near Tucson Arizona where Confederate General Robert E Lee surrendered his army without any fight or Resistance resulting in his death only days later at Appomattox Court House Virginia USA while awaiting trial for treason against the United States after admitting he had plans to secede from America once it became fully aligned with Great Britain following much speculation throughout 1861-1865 about his intentions/plans etc... On November 9th 1866 General Order No 2 was issued ordering all enlisted men between 18 years old and 45 years old (excluding women) over any legal color other than white must present themselves at muster companies assigned thereto within three days for inspection for possible discharge for disobeying orders or not meeting qualifications set forth therein... After inspecting these men selected from among them those found guilty were summarily put off hand grenades launchers rifles bayonets pistols revolvers shotguns cartridges muskets artillery ammunition company stores horses saddles bridles saddles horseshoes belts spurts showers tents

The Galt Army National Guard was organized on Dec. 12, 1916 and activated on Jan. 1, 1917. The first unit to be commissioned was the 101st Infantry Regiment on Feb. 14, 1917. On May 4th, 1917 the 191st Infantry Regiment was activated and assigned to the 157th Brigade Combat Team of the California Division of the United States Army in San Francisco Bay Area. "On Nov 3rd 1918 a detachment from Battalion C (155th Infantry) detailed as orderlies for Company E (107th Infantry) were sent to join forces with Company F (101st Infantry) at Camp Ford near Yuba City."

Galt, California is a small town in the Simi Hills region of Ventura County, California. The population was 1,856 at the 2010 census. Galt is located about 20 miles (32 km) north-northwest of downtown Los Angeles and 10 miles (16 km) south-southwest of Redondo Beach. Galt has a history dating back to 1849 when it was part of Rancho San Vicente de la Brea. The area now known as Galt was first occupied by the Tongva people and then by the Gabrielino people before becoming part of Spanish Alta California in 1777. In 1821, two years after Mexico achieved its independence from Spain, U.S. General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna granted Rancho San Vicente de la Brea to his brother Miguel Angel Garza y Costilla who named it Galt because he saw a lahar coming down from Mount Wilson and thought it resembled a white horse having been struck by lightning. In 1849, John Cushing built an adobe ranch house on what is now Main Street in Galt which served as the town's first post office until 1860 when the first school opened under Father Luis Dominguez y Mendez which taught children between the ages of 5 and 12 Spanish language and mathematics skills for $1 per week payable into a fund established by Juan Bautista Vallejo to help poor Mexican families replace their lost breadwinners during that era's Mexican War efforts The town's nickname "Gallet" may be derived from this time or from early wagon trails leading through central Ventura County linking up with those going eastward down the Central Valley via Asistencia Publical (now known as Sactown), distinctiveively called "Gallettes" on account of their longitude being within 0 degrees 30 minutes of Greenwich Mean Time at that time (it is nowLos Angeles). At one point early residents were forced to leave their homes due to bad weather conditions including heavy rains that caused flash flooding; however they eventually returned home during dry periods while living elsewhere on ranches outside Hollywood or nearby Ojai where they continued doing business under new names such as Brushy Peak Farms & Wagon Trails Station until annexation by Los Angeles in 1909 ended these activities without giving rise to any legal consequences other than some name changes for various businesses operated therein prior thereto including Pico House Saloon which still stands today adjacent to Interstate 5 just north of Northridge Boulevard) Post Office: February 3, 1860 - May 16th 1906 In 1910 Pasadena annexing nearby Orange County terminated development there so no mail service was available between Galt and Orange County thenceforth although inhabitants could still be reached through Letters From Home received at Pico House Saloon even though Streets Named For Governors Of California Did Not Begin To Be Built There Until After Annexation By Pasadena’s Government.) In 1918 William Dudley Warner became president pro tempore United States Senate and soon thereafter set out upon making changes throughout American society largely associated with Roman Catholicism including control over media outlets particularly radio stations especially television networks generating negative publicity against Catholics often resulting in boycotts or protests against products produced thereby mostly automobiles but also certain types foods items like FritosPopcorn etc., personal effects such as houses were taken away if not disposed according to regulations detailed herein thereby creating what we call “thecultural revolution” primarily benefiting Protestant groups generally supportive thereof althoughWindow Rock [Nirvana] actually experienced more economic prosperity during this same period much celebrated by many historians both hereabouts & abroad notwithstanding typical local press headlines seemingly portraying fictionalized images rather than reality whenever anything remotely resembling progress occurs viz.: Decline In Population Etc.] Today’s citizens are descendants either directly or indirectly thereof originally brought over following World War II followed immediately thereafter by successive waves Flamingo Hotel Employees Union locals 715-719,[now Long Beach Harborview Medical Center] numerous shops various restaurants various goods stores etc., most significant being AutoZone located right next door across I-5 opposite Staples Centerformerly Pacific Bell building near Getty Center featuring several large video screens used generally for televised sporting events both professional & amateur including several football games live satellite feed available 24/7 continuously along with corresponding text commentary accompanying play virtually worldwide utilizing fiber optic cables extending throughout entire municipality providing high quality resolution graphics currently permitting HDTV coverage inside county limits although presently unofficially valued at approximately $2 billion annually thus ranking second only behind Las Vegas own nonstop entertainment industry
Galt, California was founded by George Galt on October 12, 1848. The town became a county seat on December 6, 1851. The first post office in the town was established on February 14, 1850. Galt was named after Captain James A. Galt of the United States Navy and his wife Mary Ann Eberhart.
