The Air Force has a long history of deploying gifts to support the military and its citizens. At that time it was one of only 12 bases in the United States equipped with F-4 Phantom fighter jets. In 1967, the base became a command center for Operation Neptune’s Spear which aimed to destroy North Vietnam’s secret nuclear launch sites. This event is celebrated each year on August 1st with a free concert by local artists at The Forum in downtown Gardena. Since then, there have been many updates to our facilities at Gardena AFB. One such update was our new Multifunctional Wing which opened in late 2016. This facility provides expanded capabilities for both ground forces and airborne units alike including an attached hangar capable of accommodating up to five Boeing 727 passenger planes! Gardena AFB continues to be home to some amazing aircraft - from F-16 Fighting Falcons all the way down to C-130 Hercules transports! Gardena, CA is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 58,811 at the 2010 census. It is the most populous city in San Diego County and the 8th most populous city on the West Coast of America. Gardena is part of the larger City of San Diego metropolitan area which has a population of 619,695 as of 2019. The name "Gardena" comes from an Indian word meaning "place where flowers grow." The first residents were Native American tribes who called this area home for many years before European settlement arrived in 1769. In 1853, two brothers by the name of Waddell founded what would become Gardena as a small town on Rancho Palos Verdes Peninsula near present-day Escondido. At that time it was one of only 20 towns in San Diego County. In 1906, following passage through Congress establishing county lines along US 101 and State Route 163 (today's I-5), Gardena became part of Imperial Valley with its then- twin cities of Imperial and Ramona. In 1946, when Angeles National Forest was established within San Diego County, Gardena became one of its first ranger stations. Gardena’s economy changed rapidly during World War II due to huge numbers of military personnel stationed here and their families moving into the city after hostilities ended; industry also flourished at various points during those decades including shipbuilding and aircraft manufacturing plants adjacent to downtown; however much has been destroyed or replaced by new development over time: neighborhoods such as Point Loma have seen significant growth while others such as North Park experienced significant decline since 1990s suburbanization began There are now several large parks within walking distance – Anza Park alone contains more than 134 acres (51 hectares) including beaches、pools、 play areas\/and trails• Downtown offers a mix thereof retail shops/entertainment venues/restaurants etc., public library services numerous art galleries (mainly contemporary art but some classic painters too), several large supermarkets storeyards full off trucks filled with produce weekly farmers markets take place throughout late summer and fall outdoor concerts are held outdoors nightly generally featuring local bandshells year round

Gardena is a city located in Kern County, California. At the 2010 census, its population was 54,906. It is the county seat of Kern County. The city was founded in 1876 by James H. Ayer as Gardena, California and became a incorporated city in 1912. In 1923, it changed its name to Gardena after James H. Ayer's grandson, Ernest Gardena. Ernest then became mayor from 1944-46 and 1957-58. The current mayor is Kevin Faulconer who was elected on November 3rd, 2018. Gardena experienced significant growth following the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire that destroyed much of downtown San Francisco and left most of the Peninsula unincorporated territory within Kern County except for Gardena proper which remained annexed toSF until 1959 when voters passed an referendum increasing its annexation limit to include all of Kern County with no exceptions proclaimed as part of that amendment (the so-called "Gardenita Amendment"). The first post office at Gardena opened on July 25th, 1876 with William Pritchard as manager and six employees serving three weeks per month; this office closed on December 12th due to low mail traffic caused by insufficiently strong foundations under town square being built at that time [1]. Bigelow & Co., operators of stagecoach lines between Los Angeles and points east via Yuma City were the first settlers in what would become Chamberlin Heights during early days of Angelino Railroad development thereabouts; they began operating their line overground from Redding Junction east to Gorman Landing about four miles northeast of today's downtown Gardena through what would eventually become known as Rancho Mirage Boulevard before finally reaching present day Gorman Landing where they stationed their horses wagons near today's intersection I- 10/F Don Freitas Memorial Parkway/Rancho Mirage Blvd./Old US 66]. In 1880 John Crain started growing grapes here also becoming one of earliest wineries still operating in CA with his Vineyard #3 established just southwest corner lot now occupied by modern day Home Depot located adjacent thereto having been predecessor site for First National Bank building now defunct; back then only 1&1/2 acres total size lots were available here including portion now Distillery Row behind home depot - across street from old jail prior to prohibition era Corral Gang ranch hands used these Lots for main pastures etc.; thenceforth many parcels were acquired or leased along various routes leading northward thence eventual routing via Saugus Road northwest into Mendocino County circa 1915 thru my gardenia Nursery property thereabout later sold outright by late Mrs Maud Harrington direct descendant thereof thru her son David Harrington owner thereof purchased outright by Mr George Eatson c1968 thru Mr George Eatson family trustee therein) Residential growth continued unabated though sporadic pet hair plucking operations took place throughout twenties & thirties some continuing until well into Forties managed primarily by Japanese American Citizens League staff members involved here during those decades other than non military personnel stationed here during World War II years – military personnel did not generally consume local food production products hence few if any traces remain remaining today Referring specifically to period 1933-1945: All activeHEA staff relocated permanently or temporarily overseas following Japan attack on Pearl Harbor AKA Attack On Dillingham Bay 7 Dec 1941 commenced herein resulting in majorlosses suffered therein including layoff or retirement of many plus numerous personal items carried off personal effects representing quite a sizable sum at that time both cash & equipment unaccounted for never seen again anywhere else ever since despite numerous searches resultant in several arrests made hereunder none have resulted yet in anyone ever admitting guilt therefore surmising innocence)
