The first gun was bought by Manuel Nieto in 1892. The first handguns were made in 1892 and the first shotguns in 1897. It is interesting to note that pistols and rifles were not considered as firearms until 1907. In 1911, the Grand Terrace Pistol Club was founded and began purchasing pistols from local dealers. They also started shooting matches at the club. In 1914, the Grand Terrace Rifle Club was founded and began purchasing rifles from local dealers. They also started playing organized games of rifle shooting at their clubhouse. On November 12th, 1916, the Grand Terrace Gun Club became a part of American Legion Post #5154 with George Lavin as its president. The post had been organized on October 15th, 1916 by Mrs. Alice E Stone (nee Kapp) who was then living in nearby Livermore with her son-in-law Driggs Kapp Jr.. She had financed the creation of the post with money she had won at astakes race held at Livermore Race Course on October 10th, 1916

Grand Terrace is located in San Bernardino County, California. It is a small town that has seen some changes in recent years. The population was 9,651 as of the 2010 census, down from 10,826 in 2000. The community began to grow after the opening of the Hyperion Mines in 1881. This mine produced coal and other minerals for the local area. The mines closed in 1923 and its production stopped entirely by 1930. However, the town continued to grow because it became an alternative source of income for people who could not find work at the mines. In 1925, Grand Terrace had its first post office which was also its first school. The current building was built in 1928 and serves as both a postal station and local government center today. In 1971, Grand Terrace incorporated as a city under state law which made it one of four cities within San Bernardino County with city status instead of village status. Since then, many changes have occurred within Grand Terrace including the installation of artificial intelligence (AI) software into several businesses across town beginning in 2019; a new park called "Lakefront Park" opened on July 1st 2020; and construction began on a new high school that will serve as the community's only public school starting fall 2021.

Grand Terrace is located in San Bernardino County, California. It was founded by George C. Simplot and his brother Oswald Simplot on October 16, 1887 as a small community of 7 families. The name "Grand Terrace" comes from the fact that it is located on a rise above the town of Redlands. The first post office was opened in Grand Terrace on November 10, 1888. The cornerstone for the first house in what would become Grand Terrace was laid on December 2, 1889 by George C. Simplot and his brother Oswald Simplot. The brothers had come to Northern California to start a flour mill they were running out of money to buy land for their new settlement. They found some excellent property around where their mill would be built and decided to move their family there permanently. As early as 1892, residents started building homes with terraces overlooking the city of San Bernardino below them. By 1896, there were over 100 houses in Grand Terricetown with over 25+ businesses including banks and grocery stores lining Main Street which still exists today (and is now part of the University District). In 1911, whenCalifornia became a state, Grand Terrice became one of its many municipalities within San Bernardino County. In 1916-17 an annex was made to San Bernardino County which included much of what is now downtown Los Angeles including much of what is now called Chinatowns and Little Italy etc., but grand terrice remained largely undeveloped until after World War II when large blocks began being developed near High school (the old Wilson High School), Interstate 5 & I-10/US 395 & Rte 38 (the current commercial district)
The first Grand Terrace post office was established in 1896. The post office was moved to its current location on Grand Terrace in 1912.
