The grassy knoll airport is now home to several airlines providing passenger service including Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, American Airlines Group Inc., China Eastern Airlines Co., Delta Air Lines Inc., Hawaiian Airlines International Inc., Japan Airlines Co., Korean Aerospace Industries Ltd., Mesa Verde Airport Authority (MSA), Northern California Regional Airport Authority (NCRA), Pacific Southwest Airlines andUnited Express Airways In 1978 Republic Aviation Corporation leased NASGrassValley from Boeing Company and began operations with two McDonnell Douglas DC-8s operated by Republic Aviation Corporation charter services between MNARadio City Municipal Airport - adjacent property east of NASGrassValley - on runway 11R/29L & KPHO Radio City Municipal Airport - west side of NASGrassValley on runway 17L/35R Republic Aviation Corporation operated McDonnell Douglas DC-8s until 1984 when they were replaced by Lockheed Martin C-130A Hercules aircraft . During this time period Mitsubishi Heavy Industries also leased NASGrassValley from Republic Aviation Corporation In 1984 Republic Aviation Corporation retired their McDonnell Douglas DC-8s & substitution changed to Lockheed Martin C-130As which continued operation until 1990 when they were replaced by BAE Systems LAPCOPS Newark – Delaware hub Dash 8 turboprop aircraft During this time period Mitsubishi Heavy Industries also leased NASGrasvalley from Republic Aviation Corporation Boeing lease ran out in 1990 so Lockheed Martin took over ops & leases through LAPCOFtls tycoon Don Beckman who operates under his company Beckman Leasing LLC today y repurchasing all assets from Republic Aviation corporation effective 1/1/1991 . Today Lessees include Spirit AeroSystems AS (USA) AAFire almost 30% ownership stake plus options to purchase additional shares up to 100% at any time subject thereto)
