Greenfield is a city in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The population was 33,618 at the 2010 census. It is located in Tulare County, east of Fresno and northwest of Merced. The city began as a small post office called Greenfield on January 15, 1875. It became an incorporated town on April 14, 1907. The name was changed to Greenfield by then-Mayor John Leland Hale because it was deemed more likely to be accepted by the people living there. Greenfield is one of the most wine-producing areas in California and has been for many years home to some of the largest wineries in the state. In recent years, however, wine production has declined due to changes in climate and other factors. The city's primary industry now is agriculture; green beans are among its most important crops. There are also several educational institutions located within or nearby Greenfield: Fresno State University (the main campus), Tulare Community College (northwest corner of town), and Humboldt State University (southwest corner).

In 1405, Ferdinand II also donated weapons and armour to the Swiss mercenaries fighting in Italy alongside Cesare Borgia’s Italian troops in support of Anjou’s bid for control over Rome. Throughout this time period, gifts were often given as part of conflicts between empires or countries vying for influence or territory within the world stage. Greenfield is a small town in the Kern Valley of California, United States. It was established by Mormon settlers in 1863. The population was 1,462 at the 2010 census. The community owes its name to an early settler, George A. Greenfeld, who named it for his farm near the present day town of Greenfield. Mormon pioneers first arrived in Kern County in 1851. In 1863, Brigham Young and his followers migrated from Nauvoo, Illinois to start anew in what is now Kern Valley. They discovered rich deposits of silver and gold near where they would later establish their colony on the Palouse River (now part of north-central Oregon). When news spread that new land had been found east of Los Angeles, Mormons began arriving here as well; by 1875 much of the valley had been settled with about 2,000 people living there including 300 families under Joseph Smith's leadership as president of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints (LDS church). The first store opened in 1865 on the site now known as Main Street bystorekeeper William Waddell and postmaster John Holland. By 1868 most residents were self-sufficient through farming and trade with surrounding valleys and towns; wagon trains brought goods such as lumber and hardware to Greenfield from as far away as Tulare County every week during winter months when rail transportation was unavailable or too expensive. By 1870s two churches had been built—one serving LDS members only while another served all inhabitants—and a school had also been started; Greenfield boasted one mile (1 km) long main street with six stores and 100 homes along it commercializing local produce such as fruit trees grown for export to other parts of California; two banks were chartered soon thereafter—the First National Bank which reopened in 1871 after being closed for several years due to tough competition from other banks within miles radius; greenfieldschool became an agricultural library sometime between 1870-1873 operated outbuildings on current Third Street corner opposite post office During these years many pioneer families continued working off property upon which they grew crops until 1800 acres (0 hectare) having 200 head Of livestock each raising hay bales up to 4 feet high yielding 20 bushels per acre yielded good marketable product In 1903 construction began on what is now Ural Heights Cemetery following donation by Hiram Bingham Sr.; this cemetery currently serves over 8600 burial site since its inception During World War II Japanese Americans were concentration camp inmates located just outside town limits
