In 1915, The Knights of Columbus purchased the business and changed its name to The Holyoke Coffee Roasters. From 1916-1983, Holyoke was a subsidiary of Peet's Coffee Company. In 1983, Holyoke became an independent company and still operates today as a small-batch roaster with three locations in California: Orange County (Greenfield), Riverside County (Llewellyn Park), and San Bernardino County (Foothill).
Greenfield, California is a town located in Kern County, California. The population was 9,752 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Bakersfield-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1892 by George and Julia Greenfield as a small farming town on the east side of Kern Valley. The original name was for George's father, John Greenfield. When the family moved to their present site in 1894, they changed the name to Greenfield after learning that another small town near San Bernardino had also been called Greenfeld. In 1926, when it became part of the newly formed Riverside County, Greenfield incorporated as a city and reached its current size of 9,752 residents in 2000. The city limits stretch from I-5 south to US 395 north and east to US 81 (the border with Orange County). Greenfield is located near two primary industries: agriculture and construction materials companies. Agriculture includes corn, cattle, hayashi peas and other vegetables grown on irrigated land; beef cattle are raised on ranches outside city limits; dairy products include milk products produced on five miles of irrigated meadowland northeast of town; and building materials are produced by local manufacturers including those who make concrete and asphalt

Greenfield, California is a small town in Kern County, California. The population was 1,566 at the 2010 census. It is located in the east-central portion of Kern County. The name "Greenfield" comes from the Spanish word for "new settlement." The town was founded by James Irvine in 1887 as part of a rancho grant that he and his partner built on the San Joaquin River. Irvine named his new settlement after himself, Greenfield Rancho Viejo de las Flores y Toro (New Settlement of Flowery Toro Ranch). In 1890, the United States Census reported that Greenfield had a population of 256 residents. The town's growth continued through the 20th century; by 1940 it had reached 2,069 people. In 1959, Greenfield became an incorporated city with its own municipal government and mayor. A number of businesses were founded or relocated to Greenfield during this time including Chevron Oil Company (1920), Armour Rubber Company (1925), A&P grocery store(1935), Ford Motor Company(1936), IBM plant (1945-1950) and Southern Pacific Railroad tracks leading into downtown (1960-1970). The post office closed in 1957 and all mail moved to smaller towns such as BakersFIELD until 1983 when USPS opened an annexe inside the old Sears building on Main Street which served as the main post office until 1994 when it moved to its present location across Main Street from The KFC restaurant
Greenfield was founded in 1849 by the brothers John and Edward Greenfield. The town became a major center for agriculture and manufacturing, with a population of over one thousand in 1860. It was incorporated as a city in 1903. By the 1920s, Greenfield had become an important agricultural center, with major production facilities for almonds, apples, cottonseed oil, and other crops. However, during World War II the city's economy largelydependencies on munitions factories; however it did benefit from wartime trade restrictions that led to increased prices for goods exported to the warring countries. After the war, Greenfield experienced several periods of growth and prosperity; however these were followed by more difficult times in the 1970s and 1980s due to economic changes in California and elsewhere.
