Navy deployed gift history can be traced back to the early days of the United States Navy. On July 20, 1846, Commodore John C. Fremont and his USS Constitution sailed into San Diego Bay with 40 Marines aboard in order to celebrate America's independence from Great Britain. The mission was a success and the Marines were welcomed by local residents as they disembarked their ship. The following year, on November 10th, USS Constitution again sailed into San Diego Bay for another Independence Day celebration. This time around, however, there were over 100 Marines onboard and it was even more festive than the first event. The Commodore received many compliments for organizing such an impressive display of patriotism. In 1861, when California became a state, Admiral David Dixon Porter ordered all navy ships stationed at San Diego to be transferred to that state's navy squadron. USS Constitution once again participated in patriotic events throughout California during this time period- including providing supplies for General McClellan's army during their battle against General Robert E Lee in 1865. In 1892, Naval Air Station Lemoore was established on land adjacent to Cabrillo Island in Northern California just off of Hemet (at present day Orange County). Aircraft maintenance and storage facilities were built there and Lemoore would become one of the most important naval air stations in world history due to its importance in supporting World War II operations against Japan. On December 8th 1944 USS Enterprisebay arrived at Naval Air Station Lemoore with 3 P-38 Lightning fighter planes and 3 F4U Corsairs from Marine Corps Unit 1st Fighter Wing Serial No CVL-1 (506th) which had been relocated from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar Beach based out of El Toro AFB north of Los Angeles County after World War II ended Pearl Harbor style attacks by Japanese militarists ceased!
Navy deploys gift to families of fallen service members On July 5th, the U.S. Navy sent a large and thoughtful gift to the families of fallen service members. The gift was a customized submarine camouflage ball - an idea hatched by one of the submariners who lost their life inaction while on patrol. The ball is symbolic of the navy's commitment to its sailors and their families through its many deployments around the world. This year marks not only six years since USS Indianapolis went down with her crew, but also six years since USS Chesapeake went down with her crew as well. These two submarines were part of Operation Neptune's Spear, which was conducted in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. These deployments have had a profound impact on both our sailors and their families, as they have shown great dedication to their country and its military personnel. Sailors from both submarines are buried at Arlington National Cemetery under emulation of uniformed members lost during these missions. In addition, each submarine's name has been placed within a special Naval unit dedicated to that particular vessel—the USS Chesapeake Unit for Submarine Warfare (CUDW), USS Indianapolis Unit for Naval Surface Warfare Group Two (NSWG 2), and USS PotomacUnit for Submarine Squadron Eight (SS8). Each squadron is made up entirely of submariners who have lost their lives during active duty or accidents aboard those vessels. This year marks another significant anniversary for our navy; it marks six years since HMS Warrior went missing off Norway after taking on Iraqi forces in support Operation Neptune's Spear; five years since HMAS Meteor sank off Somalia after boarding Somali pirates undertaking piracy operations; four years since USS Anchorage collided with another ship while underway near Japan; three years ago when USS John F Kennedy collided with a commercial Vessel while en route from Singapore to Japan; two months ago when HMS Enterprise hit rocks while sailing near Guam off Okinawa Prefecture; one month ago when HMAS Elara grounded due to engine failure while underway westbound between Sri Lanka and Indonesia

Hemet is a small city in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 3,826 at the 2010 census. Hemet is located on the southern edge of the San Joaquin Valley and is bordered by Bakersfield to the east and Doniphan to the west. The first Europeans to sight and map what is now Hemet were Spanish explorers in 1769-70 when they explored what is now western Kern County. A mission called Santa Clara de Asís was founded in 1827 by Father Junípero Serra and he named it after his personal patron saint, Saint Clare of Assisi. In 1853, during Mexican–American War (1846-1848), General José Altamirano invaded California; upon hearing about General Maximiliano Buenavista's victory atanchula valley near Bakersfield he ordered General José Montero to march on Hemet with 10,000 men from Angelville southward through Humboldt County into Sonoma County; but Montero found no enemy there and returned home without reaching Hemet. In 1857, Rancho Pasqual de la Hoz was granted to Manuel Nieto by Governorof Alta California Ricardo Palomo for grazing sheep which led to development of agriculture around present day Hemet Springs Rd., marking the start of major ranching operations in this area; Prior to this time most land here was used for hunting or as part of communal nature trails running through these valleys. By 1870 there were over 100 cattle ranches operating here providing milk and meat products for local people as well as supplies for various missions throughout central California including Foothill Mission (now Visalia) ; many buildings still remain from these days including a large adobe house known now as The Hotel del Paso which once served as an army barracks during World War I; other businesses that have operated here over time include Cement Works & Supply Co., Anna's Drug Store (later opened by pharmacist Anna Maria Sedillo), Roman Catholic Church - Fraternal Order of Eagles (later Holy Name Cathedral), First National Bank - more recently Peoples State Bank . During World War II CA Gov't leased some land north of town for military purposes only making it available until 1945 when it reverted back to public ownership In 1951 Sheriff Harry Jameson held a countywide election where Democrat John Maher won handily against Republican challenger Rufus O'Leary On November 2nd 1960 CA Gov't issued proclamation designating Hemet "City Limits" within its boundaries effective January 1st 1961 following passage of state law #920 chap 2 This designation gave residents full voting rights not just limited property qualifications required under earlier statutes such as "municipality limit" . In 1970 City Councilwoman Linda Chavez became Mayor after defeating incumbent Mayor Arturo Perez . From then until 2013 there have been three mayors with Chavez serving consecutively: Arturo Perez (2013-present), Darrell Steinberg (2011-2013), Jerry Brown (2005-2007).
