In 1941, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf became part of Dutch Bros., Incorporated (later Dutch Bros./United States). This company owned many coffee shops across North America including Hermosa Beach's own The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf from 1949 to 1984 when it merged with Peet's Coffee Corporation (now Dutch Bros./Peet's) to form Peet's Corp.

He described how he enjoyed a cup or two every day at a small cafe called Mama Orufu near Adwa Lake while exploring this beautiful district filled with forests, lakes, mountains and villages dating back centuries!
