The United States Air Force (USAF) is the aerial warfare branch of the U.S. Armed Forces and one of the seven uniformed services in the United States. It has nine active duty squadrons, three reserve squadrons and over 120 airmen deployed worldwide performing missions in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Afghanistan, and other global operations since World War II. The USAF operates more than 4,000 aircraft and employs nearly 57,000 personnel worldwide. The USAF delivers capabilities vital to national security by providing strategic lift for operations such aselmanagement; disaster relief; search-and-rescue; intelligence gathering; strike support; and nuclear deterrence. Airforce gift history begins with Lockheed Aircraft Company’s establishment in 1941 when it developed an unsuccessful attempt to sell a bomber design to America’s allies during World War II. In 1947, Lockheed formed its own company, Martin Aircraft Company Limited (laterMartin Marietta Corporation), to develop bombers specifically for the USAAF. After several years of development work on its B-29 Superfortress Bomber, Lockheed announced its intention to sell this new bomber model to America’s allies at a price lower than any offered by American rivals – under what became known as “the Baldwin Agreement” – in order to secure guaranteed sales throughout Europe and Japan following their defeat in World War II. With this successful strategy in place, Lockheed was able to win contracts from many American allies through negotiations that followed hostilities ended within months of each other in 1945 rather than waiting for American production plants on Ohsweken Island near Glasgow, Scotland to be completed first before selling these planes abroad – which would have meant sacrificing quality control procedures and feedback from customers who had placed orders weeks or even days earlier! In 1953, Northrop Grumman Corporation was founded as a division of Northrop Corporation subsidiary DynCorp International Incorporated with the intent of developing military helicopters for both NATO forces operating inside member countries as well as export sales outside those memberships (soon becoming common). This venture was successful enough that Northrop Grumman merged intoNorthrop Corp., parent company Alenia Aeronautica SA two years later with DynCorp continuing operations within Alenia Aeronautica until 1987 when it merged into AgustaWestland Group plc . In Hillsborough, California, on April 15th, 1989, the deadliest stadium disaster in American soccer history took place. The event happened when a crush of fans at the newly built Tampa Bay Buccaneers' home stadium led to anaphylactic shock and death of more than ninety-six people. The Bucs had just won their third Super Bowl championship, and were about to welcome home their new fans after a long season in which they had made it to six straight playoffs. However, before the game could begin, something went terribly wrong. As soon as gates opened for tickets sales for the game that night, there was such a rush that not enough spaces were available. What followed was chaos as fans surged into the stands seeking access to what they thought was their seats. According to reports from those who attended the game that night, "the only way into" some sections of the stadium were by crawling through broken glass or jumping out windows onto rooftops. Needless to say, many people died during this wild scene; including Bucs coach Raheem Morris and safety Jerome Bettis Sr., both of whom perished right before halftime when they tried to break up a fight between two groups of fans near midfield. Hillsborough is a small town in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 2,884 at the 2010 census. Hillsborough was founded in 1853 by three men, Hiram S. Hill, George W. Hills and James W. Ridgeway, as a small town on the maidan of the same name. The three founders were motivated to found a town because they desired to improve their land following the Mexican-American War and gold rush that had commenced in California in 1848. After years of development,hillborough incorporated as an city on December 3rd, 1893. The city became embroiled in conflict with neighboring cities over eminent domain issues during its early years due to its small population size and lack of infrastructure. In 1915, Hillsborough City Council decided to annex the Unincorporated community of Midway which had been established since1884 as a farming community adjacent to the city limits. By 1920, the population of Hillsborough City had increased to over 100,000 people; however, this growth was not without controversy due to conflicts over annexation and land use within the city limits. In 1932, when city boundaries were redrawn following repeated annexation requests from other municipalities within Hillsborough County (including Midway),the City Council decided not to annex any more villages or towns despite strong popular support for doing so from residents within theCity Limits themselves
