By 1912, much of the town had been built up around Yeshiva Avenue and became known as "the Jewish enclave." In 1963, when Disneyland opened its gates for business, it was only one small part of a larger development called "the Disney project." By 1966, it had expanded into what is today Redondo Beach Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway (then State Route 101) east of Pasadena Avenue/Evelyn Drive (now Sayre Road). On November 15th 1967 - just two days after Walt's death - Disneyland officially became an incorporated city within Anaheim County with a population of over twenty thousand residents under one roof! Over time various businesses have cropped up along Redondo Boulevard including Trader Joe's which remains open today despite being closed for years due to redevelopment; First Baptist Church which meets at former Jiffy Lube; ABC News' new studios; Target across from Sam's Club; Chili's inside City Hall building until it left for another location in early 2011... even matchmakers got involved during this time by producing their own series titled "The Minglewood Connection" filmed at UCLA Bruins' Pauley Pavilion!
