The Huntington Park Coast Guard Station was established in 1917 as part of the City of Huntington Beach Municipal Police Department. The station became a Coast Guard Station on October 1, 1947. The station is currently owned and operated by the Huntington Park Fire Protection District. The Coast Guard Station has a history that goes back to 1917 when it was established within the City of Huntington Beach Municipal Police Department. The original coast guard station was located at 6th Street and Avenue B in downtown Huntington Beach. It served as a headquarters for law enforcement activities within the city limits. In 1979, the Coast Guard Station relocated to its current location at 7th Avenue and Main Street in Huntington Park. At this point, it became an operational unit of the fire protection district which is also responsible for providing support to other agencies within the city limits including police, public works and ambulance services. Today, the Coast Guard Station offers a variety of visitor programs which include boat tours, maritime safety classes, historical exhibits and more. Additionally, there are many recreational opportunities available such as fishing (open seasonally), swimming (seasonal) and hiking (year-round). In addition to providing essential law enforcement and firefighting services to residents of Huntington Park,the Coast Guard Station also provides important community outreach programming which includes lectures on coastal conservation issues and events designed to promote ocean stewardship through education programs.

Huntington Park is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 33,693 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino-Ontario Metropolitan Statistical Area. The original name for Huntington Park was "Riverside". The city was founded in 1887 by Theodore Roosevelt and his wife Edith Wharton as a small town on the edge of San Bernardino County. When the county was organized in 1920, Huntington Park became one of its first incorporated cities. In 1930, it annexed adjacent unincorporated areas of Riverside County. In 1959, Huntington Park became an annex to nearby La Jolla and has since grown rapidly as a bedroom community for La Jolla residents and commuters to San Diego and Orange counties. Today, much of what made Huntington Park so unique remains: its rich history, stunning architecture and rolling hills which afford excellent views of both downtown Los Angeles (to the east) and Monterey Bay to the west; as well as its wide variety of retail businesses including several large anchors such as Macy's Department Store (1921), Kmart(1948), Sears Roebuck & Co.(1950), Bank Of California (1991) and Kaiser Permanente Laura Medical Center (1996). The Coast Guard has been providing service to the community for over a hundred years. In 1892, the first Coast Guard station was established in New York City. The Coast Guard provided coastal security and Search and Rescue services until 1971, when they became an independent agency. The Coast Guard’s mission today includes protecting our coastline, maritime interests and public safety through missions such as search and rescue, marine law enforcement, environmental protection, and oceanography. In 1916, the United States Congress passed the National Security Act which created the modern Coast Guard. As part of this act, Congress authorized the President to appoint commissioned officers to serve on special duty with the Coast Guard “until needed in other departments or agencies performing similar functions” (8 U.S.C., secs 551-554). This authorization led to the present day coast guard system with more than 12 thousand men/women working full time on patrol and emergency duties off America’s coastline! Some of the most famous gifts given by presidents have come from items donated by citizens! For example George Washington gifted aHOWARD KNOX CANOON TO THE COAST GUARD in 1794 (11 U.S., c 4), James K Polk gave a MOUNTED GUN CARRYING CASE TO THE COAST GUARD in 1921 (29 U.S., c 127), Franklin D Roosevelt gave two RADIO FREQUENCY LAND Line ROTARY WAVES TO THE COAST GUARD in 1940 (43 U.S., c 812), Lyndon Johnson presented a SEAL FIGHTER aircraft to THE COAST GUARD in 1969 (70 U.S., c 411). It is clear that there is no limit to what can be donated by citizens who want their president to appreciate their support!

Huntington Park, California is a town located in San Luis Obispo County, California. The population was 15,890 at the 2010 census. Huntington Park is part of the San Luis Obispo–Paso Robles metropolitan area. The name "Huntington" comes from a Rancho El Cajon Indian Chief named John Huntington who settled in 1795 and developed land near what is now downtown San Luis Obispo. In 1853, an act of Congress designated portions of present-day Paso Robles as a city and incorporated it as such on February 14, 1854. At first, the town was served by two postmasters: one in downtownSan LuisObispo and one at the new City Hall Annex on Beale Street. In 1892, when Paso Robles became an incorporated city again with its own police department and fire department, some people decided to move to Pasadena because that was then the largest city in northern California with a large African American population living therein. As soon as they moved into Pasadena, they founded their own white community called "The Nadine". However, after about 25 years there were only three homes left standing in "The Nadine", all belonging to black residents who had long ago left for other parts of Los Angeles County or for Houston where they started anew calling themselves "Natchez". In 1960s Huntington Park experienced rapid growth due to its proximity to Los Angeles City Center following annexation by Los Angeles County of much of nearby Santa Clara Valley including Menlo Park and Palo Alto which also lost their cities status but kept their street namesakes (e.g., Menlo Avenue in Palo Alto). Many high-rise office buildings were built here during this time; many still stand today including One Financial Plaza which is currently home to JP Morgan Chase & Co., Wells Fargo Bank and Mortgage Investment Trust Company.. In recent years however most high-rise buildings have been replaced or demolished with more modest structures erected elsewhere within the city limits while most commercial properties have either been sold or are being redeveloped into larger housing units (e.g.; Redondo Beach Boulevard between Ventura Boulevard and Interstate 5). During prohibition era much alcohol was consumed here especially since numerous breweries dotted throughout town distributed product free from county taxes (a practice known as "billing out"). Local bars like Sam's Club became popular hangouts for customers over 21 years old who could purchase beer without having any sales tax taken off it although grocery stores continued selling beer until 1984 when that policy changed toof state law making it illegal for municipalities to sell liquor without statewide approval Prohibition ended abruptly in 1933 when America entered World War II which caused prices for alcohol skyrocketing across the country leading finally to repeal just shy of 10 years later on November 26th , 1943 . A few small businesses continued operating until recently including The Horse Shoes establishement which once stored horse feed along Winters Road outside present day Pioneer Village before moving inside what is now Present day First Baptist Church before reopened as Wetherspoons Irish Pub
