Huntington Park, California is home to the world's largest gourmet coffee roasters and cafes. The city has a rich history of coffee production dating back to 1861 when two Dutch farmers, Cornelis and Johannes van der Heyden, began growing coffee in what is now Huntington Park. The Van der Heyden family continued to produce coffee until 1913 when they sold their business to the American Coffee Company. In 1922, the American Coffee Company merged with Doubleday & McCloy and changed its name to Doubleday & Company. This was followed by another merger in 1945 which created Bancroft-Douglas Corporation. From Doubleday & Company, the city acquired its current name - Gourmet Coffee Incorporated (GKI). GKI operates over 50 cafés throughout Orange County and Bay Area cities including San Francisco, Berkeley, Oakland, Emeryville and Daly City. GKI also manufactures its own espresso machines and sells unique drinks made from pure Arabica beans sourced from around the world. The company's mission is "to promote quality cup of joe through education and enjoyment." Some of GKI's most famous products include their popular Koffee Klatch line of Coffeeshots - small cups of 100% Arabica beans that are hand roasted at their Cafés worldwide for an intense flavor profile that can only be found at GKI cafes. There are many types of coffee, but the most popular and expensive variety is espresso. Espresso beans are ground to a fine powder and then Roast on the outside (gouda) or Unroasted ( darkest roast), which gives the coffee its distinctive flavor profile. There are also Cappuccino, Latte, Mocha, K-Cup, Peppermint Patty and variety of other variations made with different beans. The first coffee was roasted in Sumatra in 1795 by Carlo Bottega della Scala for Andrea Doria, who took it to France where it was introduced to King Louis XV by Pierre-Simon Laplace. Coffee became widely available in Europe after being discovered by Spanish explorer Ruy López de Villalobos while exploring Peru in 1536. The Dutch began trading with Mexico and Brazil from 1607 and soon discovered that these two regions had rich deposits of CO2(coffee beans have high levels of carbon dioxide) which allowed them to produce excellent quality coffee beans without using water or fertilizer. In 1825 Nicholas-Jacques Conte founded the roastery at Monterrey near Mexico City which became one of the world's leading coffee roasters before going bankrupt in 1912. Swiss manufacturer Braun established a limited production line for Toller’s French press coffees back in 1896 becoming one of the first companies to mass-produce iced drinks using cold brew technology
In 1876, George Steiner and his brother-in-law, August Bauer, opened the first coffee shop in Huntington Park. The business was called the Gourmet Coffee Shop and it served coffee with various toppings such as bacon, ham, sausage, Rueben sandwich breading and pepperoni. The Gourmet Coffee Shop was eventually renamed the Steiner Bros.' Coffee House. In 1975, the Steiners merged their businesses with those of their father-in-law Hermann Nitschke to form the Nitschke Bros.' Coffee House & Restaurant chain. The company continued to operate under this name until it closed its doors in 1991.
Huntington Park is a small town located in the San Joaquin Valley of California. The population was 7,971 at the 2010 census. It is named after Samuel Huntington, an American businessman and delegate to the U.S. Constitutional Convention who helped write the United States Constitution. The first post office in Huntington Park was established on July 1, 1868. In 1875, the village of Huntington Park became a city when it amalgamated with nearby West Egg and East Egg. In 1907, the City of Huntington Park annexed part of neighboring City of Dixonville which had a population of 5,000 residents at that time. In 1932, restrictions placed on Mexican immigrants by Governor Hiram Johnson led to violence in rural parts of southern California known as "The GreatMexican Exodus." As a result of this violence and political correctness sweeping Southern California, many Mexicans left their homes and businesses in search for opportunity in other parts of America. Huntington Park is located adjacent to Stockton-Lodi Airport which allows easy access to both Northern and Southern California marketsplaces throughout the year without having to leave your home or business

Huntington Park is a small city in western San Bernardino County, California. It was founded in 1887 by John S. Huntington and his wife Catharine Gage. The city has a population of about 50,000 people as of the 2010 census. In addition to its core community of downtown and the area around Orange Avenue and I-15, Huntington Park includes several smaller villages including Garden Grove and Claremont. The history of Huntington Park can be traced back to 1887, when John S. Huntington and his wife Catharine Gage purchased land east of Claremont on which they built a small town named after themselves, Huntington Park. The first post office was established in 1888, and the first store opened in 1889. By 1897, the population of Huntington Park had increased to over 20 people and it incorporated as a city on November 3rd that year. The City Council included Catharine Gage among its members until her death in 1905; she is buried at Hollywood Cemetery in Hollywood Township (now part of Anaheim). The early days of the city were marked by growth pains; during this time there were only two homes: one belonging to Mr. Jaffray (a grocery store), which served as headquarters for local merchants throughout their business dealings while also holding services such as weddings and funerals for local residents; the second home belonged to Mr Holmes (John S.) who resided with his family nearby before moving into his own home across from Hollywood Boulevard sometime between 1912-1914 due to overcrowding within their old house on Elm Street near Jack London Square – this property now forms part of Lankershim Boulevard near Northridge Drive/Canyon Road intersection).
