The Imperial Beach Naval Shipyard was the first navy shipyard in California and it has been responsible for building a number of naval vessels over the years. One such honoring location is Marine Park located adjacent to Naval Shipyards Richmond and San Diego Bay in Imperial Beach. This park contains a large collection of naval vessels from both world wars as well as later eras like the USCGC Perryman and CG Portland Lighthouse Service Ships.
