Kerman, California is a small town located in the Mojave Desert of Southern California. The population was 5,898 at the 2010 census. It has a hot desert climate and is known for its coffee. Kerman Coffee Roasters (KCR) is one of the largest coffee roasters in the United States. The company has been making coffee since 1896. KCR's beans are roasted in their own facility and they also source their beans from other roasters throughout North America and Europe. The first time that KCR tasted coffee was in 1896 when they bought some beans from a friend who had started a grocery store near by. In 1912, they opened their first café which still stands today as the oldest extant cafe in Kerman. In 1916, they founded their current location on Main Street adjacent to Central High School which now houses the cafés, library, and community center. In 1999, KCR merged with Peet's Coffee Company creating one of the largest coffee companies in the world with over $25 billion in assets under management as of 2019. Today, Peet's Coffee remains an independent subsidiary of KCR with its own production facilities and manufacturing capabilities across 12 countries worldwide including six locations within North America: two in Canada; one each in Mexico City and Newark; two plants outside Boston; three plants outside Amsterdam; two plants outside Paris; four plants spread across Spain; three plants spread across Italy; five plants spread across Germany/Austria/Hungary/Slovakia; eight plants operating inside China). Today there are more than 300 employees working at seven different production facilities around the world making sure that all of our cups are hand-selected for quality and flavor consistency - ensuring that every cup we produce tastes amazing!

Kerman is a small town in the southeastern corner of California. It is bordered by Kern County to the east and by Orange County to the west. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. Kerman is located on Hwy 395, about 20 miles north of Bakersfield, and 45 miles south of Los Angeles. The first European settler in what would become Kerman was Evaristo de los Rios in 1827. He named his new land Rancho San Pedro de Arroyo Seco after St. Peter's chapel in Rome which he had seen from his ranch across the Kern River. De los Rios also built a Mission San Gabriel Arcangelico here in 1838 which served as a local parish church until it burned down in 1922. In 1851, George Custer discovered gold near what became Kerman and soon started prospecting for gold here with others such as John Sutter and James Irvine. By 1861, over 60% of all gold mined in Kern County had been found at Goldfield among other places including Atwater, Borrego Springs, Cosumnes Lake and Pershingville. In 1865, gold was discovered at Sanger Butte (now part of Big Bear City) while working for George Hearst who later made him millionaire through his paper business empire! The town began rapidly expanding because so many people were engaged in mining activity that there was not enough water to support them all! As a result of this rapid growth, many homes were built without any formal planning or zoning regulations! Kern County eventually annexed portions of neighboring Angeles County to form Unincorporated Kern County on January 1st 1912 when most advanced farming areas within each county were annexed into cities or townships pursuant to Proposition 13 - an act passed by Californians during the Great Depression era that limited property rights abuses by government officials seeking to expand their jurisdictions too rapidly! During World War II, Kerman played an important role as an airbase supplying bombers flying bombing missions against Japanese targets throughout Southern California including raids on major city centers like Los Angeles and Pasadena! Some significant residents include General Leslie Groves (USA), Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto (JAPANESE Admiral), Harry Truman (USA president) and Donald Trump (US PRESIDENT). Many businesses and organizations located here during wartime include: Pacific Gas & Electric Company; Western National Bank; US Army Air Forces Base El Toro; Lockheed Martin Corporation; Kellogg Foundation; United States Naval Station Lemuria...among many others! Baker Valley College opened its doors here on October 1st 1951 as one of California's first degree-granting colleges under our current system known today as Regents' University System! With nearly 12000 students enrolled from worldwide since its establishment we are dedicated to providing quality education opportunities for our students both inside and outside of the classroom!!!
