The business was moved to its current location in 1916 and continues today as the oldest roasting company in King City. King City, California is a city in San Diego County, California. The population was 37,481 at the 2010 census. It is located on the southern end of Baja California. The first permanent settler in King City was Manuel Nieto who arrived in 1847. After Mexican independence from Spain was won in 1821, Mexico passed an act proclaiming that all land east of the Trans-Mexican Railway were to be annexed by the new country and become part of San Diego County. In 1852, Don José de Avila granted land to Manuel Nieto for a town site on what is now First Street and Rangeline Avenue. The name "King City" was chosen because it would be the most important trading post between Southern California and Baja California Island and because it would provide defense against pirates operating out of Mexicali Harbor. In 1860, Territorial Governor Pio Pico named King City provisional capital of San Diego County with Jurado as its first mayor. In 1863 Mexican captain Juan Ortiz y Ortega claimed Rancho Niguel south of present day King City for Spanish Californios and laid claim to muchofthearea until his death in 1865; however this claim was never ratified by Mexico or America due to US claims over Alta California at that time The city's growth stalled after World War II as many people left for better opportunities back home following the war's devastation across Europe and Asia. However, various businesses started up during this time including a printing press which helped start the local paper industry A school called Mission High School opened in 1951 which became one of Northern CA's leading high schools; King City also hosted several soccer tournaments during this time period which helped develop community spirit In 1958 Mayor Harry Henningsen approved plans to build a city hall & municipal center but funding wasn't available so construction continued only with smaller projects until 1978 when money finally came through allowing for more ambitious plans such as an Air Force Base annexe

King City is located in the Unincorporated communities of King and Easton, California. The population was 5,555 at the 2010 census. It is one of the most significant historic towns in Kern County. The town was founded in 1853 by John Sutter and his wife Joanne Carr. In 1869, it became a part of Los Angeles County. The first post office for King City was established on December 11, 1853, by act of the California State Legislature. The town experienced rapid growth from its inception until incorporation as a city on January 15, 1886. During those years King City had an annual population growth rate approaching 20%. In 1906, when Kings Canyon National Park was created within Kern County, King City became a part of that park and lost its status as a city. However, it regained its city status upon annexation by Bakersfield on April 1st of that year - making it the second largest city in Kern County after Bakersfield itself with a population size exceeding 10,000 residents at various times during its history (the first being Antioch). On October 2nd of this year King City Peak received formal designation as one of fourteen peaks officially named “Seven Peaks” by USGS glaciologist Drabek due to their prominence within Yosemite National Park - making them not only one of the most prominent mountain peaks in North America but also one which provides exceptional views from numerous locations within Yosemite Valley including Half Dome and El Capitan; both visible from downtown San Francisco even during standard weekday hours! TheCity has long been known for its eclectic mix of architecture including Gothic Revival style buildings dating back to 1853 while Rancho Niguel style homes were built beginning in the late 1800s following ranching activity adjacent to present day King City limits There are also current examples such as: Mission Viejo style housing stock completed circa 1915-1920 near Interstate 580 & I-680 interchange; new high school gymnasium complete circa 2006 just south/east off Airport Way; contemporary mixed use buildings completed over last few years near Airport Way and old fire station across Airport Way from present day Chamberlin Middle School
