Tactical coffee began in Kingsburg, California in the late 1940s as a way to support military and paramilitary activity. The earliest commercial establishments were located on Main Street, where businesses like Harry's Coffee House and Joe's Grocery offered customers Tactical Coffee beans for sale. This early iteration of tactical coffee was made from ground beans that were roasted fresh daily and served cold. As the Cold War began to heat up, sales at Harry's and Joe's plummeted. Businesses turned to packaging their Tactical Coffee in reconstituted milk cartons or boxes that could be stored outside for easy retrieval when needed. In response to this challenge, local businessmen created a new company named "Kingstown" in 1951. The name was derived from the town in which it was located - Kingstown being an abbreviation of "Kingsburg", California. Over time, Kingstown became more focused on providing quality customer service than selling Tactical Coffee. In addition to providing retail services to area businesses, Kingstown also ran a number of training programs for soldiers and law enforcement officers across the United States. In 1988, Kingstown merged with another local business, "Lake City Trading Post", to form what is now known as Lake City Coffee Company Ltd., which remains one of the most successful small businesses within Kingsburg today. Today, tactical coffee can be found all over the United States; however, its popularity may be strongest in areas with large militaries or law enforcement forces who appreciate its unique flavor profile. Kingsburg is a small town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 2,089 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east bank of the Kern River. Kingsburg was founded by lumbermen in 1887 and renamed for King George Washington in 1905. The town was incorporated in 1911. It changed its name to Kingsburg after World War II when its economy became more agricultural than manufacturing. The post office closed in 1992 and the last mail delivery took place on December 5th of that year. Kingsburg has a small shopping center with several stores and a few businesses including two banks, one Independent Bank and One Stop Shop, as well as a few restaurants and cafes. There are also several homes for sale here which range from starter homes to high end residences. The town's main industry is agriculture with hay (see below), vegetables, fruits, crops such as cotton and wheat, and livestock farming including pigs, horses, cows, calves, sheep and other animals. A winery produces white wine under the name of "Rocafort". There are also two grocery stores - one co-owned by Walmart Supercenter parent company Sam’s Club International Inc., the other opened by Friendship Foods Co-op in 2000 - along with three convenience stores: Albertsons Grocery Store (since discontinued), Safeway/Grolsch Supermarket (since discontinued) and KFC/Baskin Robbins Pizza Hut (since 1996).

At the time, coffee was considered a refreshment for troops on battle field. In 1875, Colonel John C. Breckinridge of the Confederate cavalry used tactical coffee as part of his strategy during the Battle of Corinth. He had two cups of this beverage before battle to give each trooper a boost and keep them energized. This action helped contribute to Confederate victory over Union forces. The first commercial production of tactical coffee began in 1907 when the Dutch company Koffie Zaanstraat produced its first cup of ground beans and served them at military headquarters in Rotterdam. In World War I, American General George S Hill called for Tactical Coffee to be given to his troops so they could drink as they fought. This request led to the creation of Operation Overlord, which consisted of drinking 1,500 gallons (4 liters) of Tactical Coffee each day from April 6-May 7, 1944 during World War II. After World War II, Tactical Coffee disappeared from general circulation but continued to be made privately by individual soldiers and officers until 1957 when it was made public again with the reintroduction ofOperation Overlord by United States President Dwight D Eisenhower

However, recent advancements in technology have allowed for new opportunities for businesses and residents within Kingsburg; such as advances in digital media and High- definition video broadcasting capabilities which have contributed to a resurgence of local entrepreneurship and business growth since 2006. Today, Kingsburg is an important community with strong ties to its surrounding rural communities; providing access to education, healthcare, cultural attractions and more than just manufactured goods available from larger retail stores1. Additionally, there are now initiatives underway by Kingsburg officials focused on revitalizing its downtown core; including plans for a large open space that would house arts & crafts exhibitors2 as well asッhat would provide public squareland anchored by a water fountain3 (the project is still pending approvals). Despite these challenges however - including some instances where infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed while efforts were made - Kingsburg continues to thrive thanks largely to its close-knit community support system4 which includes both locals & visitors alike5
