Gourmet Coffee history in La Habra, California began with the opening of the first coffee shop in La Habra, California in 1976. The coffee shop was located on 6th Street between Commerce and Washington Avenues. In 1978, J.C. Penney's opened their first store in La Habra and started selling gourmet coffee from their stores. The first gourmet coffee beans were roasted at J.C. Penney's by Bob Pease who also served as roastmaster for Starbucks at the time. In 1984, Josefina's Coffee opened their second location in La Habra; this location was known as Josefina's Gourmet Coffee Shoppe II which later became Josefina's Gourmet Coffee Shop III . In 1985, Carlos' Coffee opened its third location in La Habra and it became known as Carlos' Gourmet Coffee Shop IV . In 1989-1990, DonatellO's Gourmet Café introduced their own unique gourmet coffee brand called DonatellO’s Roasts which featured hand-selected beans from around the world prepared according to a strict set of principles). In 1992, Superior Coffee & More started operations inLa Habra and soon thereafter they commenced roasting their own specialty coffees under the name Superior Roasts (later changed to DonatellO’sroasts). This led to la HabRA becoming one of the most prolific roasteries for gourmet coffee within Southern California In 1995-1996, Java Junction opened up shop serving delicious Indonesian light roast coffees made fresh daily right on premises! Java Junction quickly gained a following due to their delicious coffee drinks and amazing customer service! They continue to serve delicious Indonesian light roast coffees until present day!
La Habra, California is a city in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 55,527 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Riverside–San Bernardino–Ontario Metropolitan Statistical Area. The City of La Habra has been located within the same boundaries since 1901 and annexed by Riverside in 1932. The date palms and oak trees line the streets of this picturesque town nestled amidst mountains to the east and west; its downtown area consists of a mix of pre-war single-story frame buildings dating from the early 1800s with new construction continuing up through the 1960s and 1970s, including several million dollars worth of renovations carried out during that time period resulting in a resurgence in business activity now being experienced again throughout all sections as well as examples of Mediterranean Revival architecture heretofore unknown in Northern California. It should be noted that while it is customary to celebrate St Patrick’s Day (March 17th) Parade day hereabouts with some type or parade or public gathering on one or more days each year, no events are actually scheduled for that date outside “the Loop” which encompasses most if not all aspects related thereto such as green lawn mowing/edging for residents adjacent to Bel Air Drive & I-10 both northbound & southbound just past exit 214 off Interstate 10 near Visalia prior to reaching downtown La Habra approximately 2 miles further east along I-10 until reaching Bell Gardens across from Anaheim Stadium - virtually everything else within “the Loop” taking place on either Saturday or Sunday gridlock free weekends simply because there is always enough people out & about celebrating Irish culture quiteliterally within minutes walking/running distance! Coffee began to be exported to other parts of the world during this time period and it became an important part of European cuisine. Coffee became an official currency in many countries during this time period and it helped contribute to its popularity around the world.

In 1821, California was added to the United States of America as part of a Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. Located on the southern tip of Mexico, La Habra became one of the most important towns in American territory. In 1848, during the Mexican-American War, La Habra was attacked by American forces and it was declared a military post. The town continued to be an important center for trade and commerce until the early 20th century when its economy began to decline. By 1910, La Habra had only 1,500 residents and it ceased to be an important city after that date. However, its history is still remembered today because it is home to the USS Arizona Memorial Museum which tells the story of how this ship came to be in San Diego County.
In 1847, Manuel Antonio Gonzalez set up a post office in La Habra. The town was named for the cape of the same name located on the coast of California. In 1924, La Habra became an incorporated city. On December 12, 1928, it merged with neighboring Irvine to form the current city of Irvine.
