Since the inception of the National Guard in 1947, there have been many different types and sizes of gift giving occasions. The evening included a speech by then-President Harry S Truman and a private dinner for local businesspeople. At this event, Mayor Dutton presented Captain Joe J.yczyk with a three-tiered table full of Gifts from All Americans Committee (GAC). These were silver dollar coins made into smart watches or keychains with patriotic messages on them; commemorative ballots from state polls; and dolls representing various aspects of military life including tanks, planes and rifles. GAC was started by Captain Jyczyk as an effort to keep families involved in the militia through good behavior opportunities like Scouts/Guidesmanship Camps for children as well as service projects outside their homes during wartime time periods like World War II (1939-1945). The guests enjoyed wineburgers at Governor’s Mansion before going out to enjoy more pleasant activities around town including baseball games at Petaluma Park (now known as University Park), swimming at Laguna Beach Community Pool, movies at nearby AMC Theaters and much more! Many years later anothergala event honoring La Mirada’s first unit was held on October 12th, 1984 under then-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger with participation from various military branches stationed throughout Southern California combined with elected officials representing all levels of government represented in attendance including Lieutenant Governor Coxie Carmody who served terms between 1959 – 1974 inclusive; State Senator Leland Yeoman (D-La Mirada) 1957 – 1973; Assemblymember Don Beall (D-La Mirada); Supervisor Donny Toomey (R-El Monte); City Councilman Rudy Garrido; Sheriff Verno Gomez Jr.; Federal Marshal James Meeks III.; among others! This event honored Company C4th Battalion California Army National Guard which had come ashore October 1st 1969 on USS Coral Sea during Operation Neptune Spear - one of America’s longestand most controversial wars! In 1990 President George H W Bush gave a Presidential Address recognizing the 20th Anniversary Of Company C3rd Battalion Los Angeles County Cavalry Regiment which had fought & died In Desert Storm On September 28th 1991 In compliance With United States Constitution Article I Section 8 Clause 11 On July 26th 1992 President George H W Bush presented Sergeant First Class Leroy Kogan Sr., Commandant USMC Valley Barrackswith two beautiful $10 bills each -one honoring Veteran's Day Events Since 1978 while also being inscribed "For Valor" It Was His Honor To Present These Bills To Sergeant First Class Leroy Kogan Sr.#1 #2

The La Mirada National Guard was founded in 1917. The unit has served in a variety of capacities throughout its history, including service in World War II and the Korean War.
La Mirada, California is a small town in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 17,898 at the 2010 census. It is located on the Santa Monica Peninsula and is bordered by Beverly Hills to the south and Culver City to the north. The Venice Pier lies just east of LaMirada Boulevard. The first European settlement in what is now La Mirada dates back to 1853 when rancho grants were given to Juan Marquez and Manuel Nieto by Governor Cahuenga. A post office called "Laguna de la Tijera" was established in 1865, changing its name to "La Mirada" in 1887 after then-President silverImplorer James Phelan granted it land for an irrigation canal. In 1902 Pacific Electric Railway built its line from Westwood through Mulholland Drive into La Mirada and opened a depot there on December 12th of that year. In 1907 Pacific Electric extended its line westward past Mulholland Drive into Menlo Park with a station at Third Street and Winnetka Avenue; this station became Menlo Park Airport when that airport was founded in 1939. In 1912 the Signal Hill School District was formed which included parts of Menlo Park, Palo Alto (then part of San Mateo County), Redwood City, Mountain View (then part of Marin County), Emeryville (then part of Alameda County) as well as portions of Hawthorne and Saratoga Springs within Los Angeles County; signal hill became known as one of these districts' schools until it merged with other district's entities into the present day Los Angeles Unified School District on October 1st, 1962. By 1920 only about 10% Of The Population Of La Mirada lived inside city limits while 90%of people living inside city limits worked out or lived near some public school or university campuses which made nearby cities like Pasadena(30 miles) or Westwood(40 miles) very attractive places to live especially since they had no obligations whatsoever towards city government services such as water service or waste disposal! “What we have here today can be either beautiful or ugly depending upon who you are looking at it from: from those who live within easy access because all their needs are taken careof by our public services or those who look down upon us because we don't do things their way: They ask how can we make money? We look around at how nice our neighborhoods are without having anything done for them- Most people would say “it doesn't have to be this way”! La Mirada was founded in 1887 by Antonio Gutierrez, a Mexican-American pioneer who purchased an adobe rancho on the banks of the San Gabriel River. The town rapidly grew and became a center for agricultural production and cattle ranchers; it also became a popular tourist destination. In the 1920s, La Mirada became known as "The City of Roses" for its many red roses grown in nearby hills. In 1941, during World War II, La Mirada was renamed Imperial Beach after Japan's Emperor Hirohito. The town's population swelled because of the military base there and commercial development followed: Restaurants, hotels, shopping malls, and office buildings were built along Interstate 5. However, although La Mirada has been growing steadily since the early 1990s when it lost most of its industrial jobs to suburban developments near Los Angeles County Airport, it remains nearly deserted save for a few hundred people who live on or around the harbor.
In 1848, prospectors discovered gold on La Mirada Mountain. The discovery led to the construction of a sawmill and millrace that became one of the most important resources in the area. In 1855, California was admitted as a U.S. state, and La Mirada became part of the new state. The population of La Mirada grew rapidly after this event, and by 1890 it had reached over 10,000 people. In 1916, La Mirada was incorporated as a city with its own government and school system.
