Lakewood is a small town in California that has been brewing coffee since the 1800s. In 1876, John C. Henniker started the Lakewood Coffee Company and it was one of the first businesses to sell espresso drinks. The company was bought by Joe Robinson in 1912 and it continued to produce espresso drinks until 1966 when it merged with Robinsons Roastery & Cafe. The two companies produced about two million cups of coffee each year until 1993 when they were sold to Hunt Brothers Coffee Inc. Hunt Brothers kept the name and logo but production decreased significantly over the next few years. In 2005, Hunt Brothers sold their entire business to Peet's Coffee Incorporated which resumed operations as The Lakewood Coffee Company again. Today, Peet's is one of America's largest coffee companies with over 100 stores across 35 states and Canada. The history of small batch coffee goes back to 1876 when John C Henniker opened his first shop in what is now known as Lakewood, California. At that time, espresso beverages were still a new concept and only available at Italian-owned cafes like Robinsons Roastery & Cafe where patrons could purchase them fresh from cortege roasts or pre-packaged boxes of ground beans delivered daily on horseback from Rome. In 1912, Joe Robinson bought John C Henniker’s company for $2 million dollars making him one of the richest men in America at that time! From then on, the company produced many different types of coffee including drip, pressurized cold brew and even hot chocolate! It was also during this time that they introduced their famous espresso drinks which soon became popular among Americans all over! In 1993, after being acquired byHunt Bros Coffee Inc., The Lakewood Coffee Company decided to discontinue its espresso drinks because they felt that people no longer wanted them? However, these same company restarted production of those same products under their new name – The Lakewood Café – within a few months! Lakewood Coffee was founded in 1978 by Stanislaus natives and coffee experts, Bob Selig and Jeff Smith. In 1990, Lakewood’s first store opened on 39th Street in the heart of downtown Lakewood. The store became a leader in quality coffee and espresso products, selling both online and in-store. In 2002, Lakewood Coffee introduced its own line of ground coffee called “The Selection” which was available in grocery stores as well as their shop at 39th & Market. In 2006, Lakewood Coffee began to produce its own beans under the name of “Lakewood Roastery”. This allowed for more control over the flavor profile of each bean and helped to ensure that all of our coffees were made with great care. We continue to develop our roasts and beans here at our property in Mendocino County outside Sacramento, California. Lakewood is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. The population was 54,671 at the 2010 census. It is the fifth most populous city in San Diego County and the third most populous city east of the mountains (after Riverside and Torrance). Lakewood's metropolitan area has a population of 1,046,815 as of 2018. The first settlement in what is now Lakewood was made up of Mission Indians who arrived in 1769 on horseback from what is now Mexico City. They were followed by Anglo-Americans who founded many small towns along Rancho Santa Fe de Anza between 1853 and 1859. In 1915, when annexation by San Diego occurred, much of eastern Moraga Valley became part of Lakewood while much still remained within the original boundaries of Moraga Valley (now known as Eastlake). In 1926, ownership of Rancho Laguna Niguel transferred to the City fathers for use as an open space for recreational purposes including possible water development. On July 8th 1933 Mayor Dutch Schultz announced that he would seek re-election without giving any indication that he would run against incumbent Elihu Root; no opposition was experienced from either major party or individual citizens until November 8th when Schultz announced his candidacy again with only one week left before election day. During World War II there was an airfield located near present day Point Loma which served as a training ground for USAAF pilots during World War II and later also served as an airport for civilian aviation operations during post-war years. Today it remains a public park used mostly by residents living close to Point Loma beachfront property though some visitors may access it through hiking trails located off highway 101 southbound just past milepost 9 on Highway 68. According to the 2010 United States Census Bureau Census estimate,[1] there were 54,671 people residing in Lakewood municipality total[2]. The racial makeup was 49% White alone (nonHispanic), 10% African American alone (nonHispanic), 0% Native American alone (nonHispanic), 5% Asian/Pacific Islander Alone (non Hispanic), 3% Latino or Latinoof any race (nonHispanic) and 26% some other race combination not reported specifically.[3] This makes Lakewood America's second largest "majority minority" city after Cleveland Heights OH where all races make up 60%. Latinos form about 12 percent[4] of this large population although their percentage continues to grow due to new immigration trends which are typically characterised by higher levels of poverty and lack educational attainment among immigrants themselves rather than simply being Mexican or Spanish speaking individuals from those same backgrounds

AND THEY DID IT ALL WITH ONLY $0 DOWN! THIS IMPORTANT PART OF THE STORY IS THAT THEY CONTINUED TO MAKE SINGLE BATCHES FOR YEARS BEFORE STARTING UP THE SHOP!
Lakewood is a city in San Diego County, California. The population was 26,505 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Diego-Tijuana Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settlers in what is now Lakewood were Mexican miners who came to the area during the Gold Rush in 1849. The name "Lakewood" comes from an Indian word meaning "place where clean water flows." In 1886, William McKinley, then president of the United States, made a speech in which he called for a new west and announced that Californians would be given land east of the 101 freeway as part of this new westward movement. In 1893, General George Armstrong Custer Battlefield National Monument was established on what is now McMurtry Road near Interstate 805 east of downtown Lakewood. This location served as a training ground for American cavalry soldiers during World War I and II. In 1904, John D'Angelo Wells founded El Centro de Arte y América (El Centro), which became one of Los Angeles' most influential art galleries and restaurants before it closed its doors in 1984 following its acquisition by Art Gallery Partners LP (now New York-based Hirschhorn Museum & Library). On October 1, 1907, Lakewood's incorporation as a city occurred under state law with the help of Mayor Jules Guesdick and City Councilman Augustus Murphy. Unlike other cities incorporations at that time which were done through petitions or election results only - like Riverside - Lakewood's Incorporation Act included articles providing for streetscaping and public works projects such as cleaning up vacant lots; these ordinances were later repealed due to lack of funding from city coffers. Although incorporation had been attempted earlier by various groups including prohibitionist group Americans for Prosperity spearheaded by Lt. Gov..
