The Coast Guard Gift History in Lawndale, California began with the formation of the United States Coast Guard on April 12, 1879. The Coast Guard was created as a result of the Spanish-American War and its forays into American waters. At that time, the U.S. only had two vessels; the schooner Constitution and the tugboat Dodge. The Coast Guard soon realized that it needed more resources to patrol America’s coasts and protect our citizens from harm. So on November 16, 1881, Congress passed an act giving the Coast Guard a third vessel – the cutter Lake Champlain. This new asset would come in handy during times of war or peace and help keep our nation’s coastline safe from pirates and smugglers. The first duty of this new coast guard “gift” was to provide security at San Francisco Bay Area ports such as Alameda, Berkeley, Contra Costa County, Fremont County and Marin County while commissioned by PRESIDENT William McKinley in 1896. As part of their mission they also patrolled inland waterways such as Sacramento River and Feather River including areas now known as Silicon Valley and East Palo Alto (Lawndale). Additionally they conducted night patrols along coastal highways frequented by merchant ships conducting trade between ports on America's coasts providing added security for coastal communities. In 1941 when World War II started America's response to Nazi Germany was through confiscation of assets including jewelry items valued over $10 million which were sent back to Germany under Operation Paperclip where many talentedscientists were employed by Nazi Germany including Dr Isidor Reichman who developed radar technology originally intended for use against Allied warships During peacetime until 1965 law enforcement officers used gift certificates (known then as "Blue Eagle") which could be redeemed at local police departments throughout California giver discounts off regular rates like those given at department stores In 1965 state legislators responded to Governor Pat Brown's proposal that all state agencies receive type C Identification Cards instead of individual badges or identification cards which introduced electronic gift Certificates (E-Gift Certificates) into state government service In 1967 a bill was introduced in both houses of legislature designating Lawndale area within El Sobrante City Limits specifically within Township boundaries making Lawndale one town within city limits

Lawndale is a small town in Kern County, California, located about 8 miles east of Bakersfield. The population was 1,878 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salinas–San Joaquin Valley Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community was founded in 1879 by Judge George Lawndale and his wife, Martha Ayer Lawndale. They named it after their home state of New York. The first real store opened in 1881. In 1902 the town incorporated as a city under the name of Ramona. It was renamed to Lawndale in 1955 when its incorporation into Kern County made it one of the seven cities in that county. The only industry remaining in LAWNDALE today is agriculture; most residents work for local farms or ranchers during summer months when fields are open to production. The most common type of crop grown here is hay, but some residents also operate a few small gardens and fruit trees on their properties. There are no schools within LAWNDALE itself, but there are numerous daycare and preschool options available nearby should children want to learn more about cooking or other basic skills while living close by – many schools offer free tuitionitus for children whose parents can provide proof they can support them through school education! Although LAWNDALE has experienced turnover over time (with many families moving away since its incorporation), it has remained largely a family-owned business with few outsiders having any say whatsoever over what goes on inside the businesses - something which makes this small town particularly unique among rural America's many such communities. Today's LAWNDALE occupants come from all walks of life: from farmers who have worked their land for years to people who have just arrived here from out of town looking for opportunity and Stability - everything from retirees to recent college graduates!

Lawndale is a small city in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles County, California. The population was 54,828 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Pasadena-Los Angeles metropolitan area. The name of the town comes from an Anglo Indian word meaning "meadow" or "field". The first settlers in Lawndale were prospectors who came to what is now Lawndale in 1851. In 1857, surveyor John Atherton surveyed and named a place for himself near wherepresent dayLawndale Boulevard and Pershing Road stand today. He named it after General James K. Polk's ranch, La Colonia de la Bahia (the Colony of Rancho La Bahia). In 1875, entrepreneur James W. Irvine started buying land east of Lawndale Boulevard and built his lumber mill on the now Asbury Park Avenue site that he called Irvine Mill Site #1. By 1886, Irvine had moved his mill to its present site on North Meridian Street across from what is now Western Learning Academy. In 1893, Irvine donated 350 acres (168 hectares) northeast of Lawndale to Southern California Edison Company for electric generation purposes as well as construction of a substation and other infrastructure for electricity generation in Los Angeles county A year later, on December 3rd 1893,[5] incorporation was granted to the Town by Judge Augustus Pyle with 15 individuals voting against it because they desired more autonomy within Los Angeles County On January 1st 1895[6], residents voted by referendum to incorporate as a city with full powers over local affairs including zoning regulations and taxation The City Council initially failed to ratify this incorporation but succeeded upon attainment of mayor-council formality on January 12th 1895 It should be noted that prior to becoming an incorporated city under state law, Lawndales status as a village was only nominal due largely to legal challenges mounted by attorney general nominee Hiram Johnson during his successful campaign for governor in 1894
Lawndale, California was founded on December 27, 1847 by the brothers John and George Lawndale. The town was named after the Agricultural and Mechanical College at West Point, New York which they had both attended. The college moved to California in 1851 and started teaching students in what is now San Bernardino County.
