Artisan Coffee has been a part of the Lemoore community since before there were coffee shops. The first coffee shop in Lemoore, California was founded in 1976 by two friends, Herb and Ellen Bourgeois. They opened their business on Fourth Street near the present day Lemoore Adobe. The shop sold coffee and pastries from their small storefront, but also operated a café upstairs where customers could enjoy sandwiches and salads as well as espresso drinks. The Bourgeois sisters continued to operate their business until they passed away in 2002. But their legacy lives on through the memory of Herb and Ellen’s terrible puns – “We have SCAAZY COFFEE!” Which is still reported to be one of the town’s most commonly used phrases today. In 2008, Artisan Coffee closed its doors for good after many years of serving delicious coffee and amazing pastries to residents of Lemoore. However, the store’s spirit lives on through the memories of its customers who continue to visit daily for all manner of coffee-related purposes (espresso shots all day long!).

In 1886, the town became known as Belle Isle after being purchased by Leland Stanford Jr., one of America's richest men. The community developed rapidly due to its location on the banks of the San Gabriel River and its cheap land prices. By 1907, Lemoore had over 20 businesses and 100 residents. However, during World War I it was bombed by German bombers which destroyed most of the buildings and killed many people including Mayor John Fenton victims were buried in local cemeteries until their remains were reinterred in2010 But although Bombs had destroyed most if not all businesses within town limits there remained some that continued to operate such as Mr Boing boing Emporium which still stands today just off Main Street Lemoore CA

Lemoore is a small town in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, United States. The population was 5,887 at the 2010 census. It is located on the east side of San Francisco and is bordered by Contra Costa County to the north, Marin County to the west, Alameda County to the south and its eastern border is unclear. Lemoore was founded in 1852 by John C. Fremont as a farmstead on what is now Alma Street. The name Lemoore comes from Spanish "limousin" meaning "little valley". In 1858, A.J. Folsom became one of the first settlers in this area when he moved from Stockton with his family. He named his land Lemoore after Pio Pico, an Argentine general who had helped America gain independence from Spain during the Mexican-American War (1846-48). The town began developing around railroad tracks that were built through it in 1887 and 1889. The first store opened in 1888 and renamed The Post Office as part of a promotional campaign by Northern Pacific Railway Company president James Reed Kelleher. By 1893, Lemoore had two schools, three churches and sixteen businesses including four banks and two sawmills In 1898 residents voted to create their own incorporated city government under state law which they did not follow until 1915 when they changed their name back to Lemoore after incorporation into Contra Costa County took place that year . In 1902 LEMOORE FIRE Department was organized with Captain Abraham Hagen serving as first Chief Opera House Manager Alderman George Wardsworth played an important role in introducing electric streetcars into town during this time period . On February 14th 1906 City Council passed Resolution declaring themselves an independent city . On November 3rd 1912 Mayor Harry Dodge presented plans for a new downtown business district which included several blocks near current First Avenue and Second Street called “Downtown” because it would be surrounded by high ground on all sides excepting Front Street where houses would line up along either side of busy thoroughfare On January 15th 1914 citizens adopted zoning plans for their new downtown business district which limited development to single stories with no more than fifty feet between storefronts or twenty feet between buildings inside each story . Lemoore was founded on Jan. 1, 1853 by the homesteaders of Rancho San Marcos de la Mesa and was named for General John C. Fremont. The town became a major agricultural center during the Gold Rush of 1849-1850 and soon developed into a thriving commercial center with schools, churches, hotels, stores and other businesses. In 1881, Lemoore incorporated as a city and began rapid growth; it reached its peak in the 1920s but has since declined in population and economic importance.
