At this time, Pacific Coffee Corporation became one of the largestcoffee businesses in the United States. In 1984, Pacific Coffee Corporation sold its assets to Peet's Coffee Company. This move marked the beginning of a period of growth for Peet's Coffee Company as they began to expand into other markets including Europe and Latin America. In 2007, Peet's Coffee Company merged with Jardin de la Paixñeria SA to become Nestle Purina SABMiller SA (NESTLE). At this point, Nestle Purina SABMiller SA became one of the largest food conglomerates in the world by operating over 350 subsidiaries across 34 countries.Today, Nestle Purina SABMiller SA is engaged in a number of strategic initiatives including developing new global brands such as Quaker Oats and Kraft Foods; manufacturing snacks such as chips and candy; selling beverage products such as water or tea;and investing in real estate development worldwide

The Lodi Coffee Company was founded in 1913 by Dr. George Washington Carver, a doctor and scientist who had emigrated from the United States to Lodi, California. The company began making coffee in a small house on First Street in Lodi. It soon became known for its excellent quality and high-quality beans. In 1930, the company moved to its current location on State Street in Lodi. The company has continued to produce excellent coffee until today.
Lodi is a small town in Kern County, California, United States. The population was 1,851 at the 2010 census. It is located in the East Bay region of San Francisco Bay. Lodi is situated on a hilltop overlooking San Joaquin Valley and downtown Los Angeles to the south and east respectively. The name "Lodi" means "the clear or shining watercourse". The first recorded mention of Lodi was in 1824 when John Ballantyne wrote about it as being on the right bank of the Mary River. In 1876, Don Carlos Magee founded Rancho de las Gomez and named his rancho after Lodi Creek that flows through his property. In 1888, Wm Hargrave donated land to the city of Los Angeles which included much of what now makes up downtown Lodi. In 1923, local businessman Elmer Jethro Gibbs donated 5 acres (20,000 m2) for a municipal park that would eventually become Angel Stadium. At first called Municipal Park #1 (later renamed Angel Stadium), it was dedicated on October 15, 1923 with an all-star game between Redwood City's Pacific Coast League affiliate (San Francisco Giants) and Oakland Athletics. That year also saw the inaugural season of American Football in Southern California when Lodi hosted its own version of what is now known as "The Rose Bowl Game", which ended in a 7-6 victory by the Boston Americans over Pasadena's All America football team coached by Fielding Hargrave himself.
