There is no question that coffee has been a part of Californian culture for centuries. The first written evidence of coffee being roasted and consumed in the area now known as Lomita comes from 1847, when Spanish explorers discovered what they called “El Niño” – an event which caused a drop in global temperatures. Coffee was then transported back and forth between Mexico and California aboard ship, so it seems likely that early settlers were familiar with this drink. One of the earliest roasters in Lomita was Sul Ross Coffee Company, which opened its doors in 1915. This company roasted all manner of beans, including Java, Sumatra, Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Guatemalan Antillas. Their beans were sold both online and at local stores throughout Southern California. In the late 1940s, Sul Ross moved their operations to Hearst Castle near San Diego; however, they continued to sell their beans until 1977. When Starbucks first opened up shop on Mare Island in 1975, they imported almost all of their beans direct from Brazil (although some were sourced from other countries). They continue to source all their coffee directly today! Starbucks began selling ground coffee only in 1994; however, they have since distribute whole bean espresso through third-party retailers like Dunkin’ Donuts and Peet’s Coffee & Tea locations across the United States ever since. Today there are over 100 different small batch roasters operating throughout California – many of whom roast unique coffees specific to the region or county where they reside. Some examples include: Blue Bottle Coffee (Fremont), Death Wish Coffee (Laguna Niguel), Four Barrel Coffee (Salinas) and Pecan Grove Roasters (Palo Alto). It should also be noted that these independently operated cafes often focus on high-quality single origin coffees with SubtleTasting Levels 1-3 only – ensuring that each purchase provides a unique cup experience!

Lomita (formerly known as Lompoc) is a city in Los Angeles County, California, United States. The population was 26,895 at the 2010 census. It is located on the eastern edge of the San Gabriel Valley and is bordered by Agoura Hills to the east, Beverly Hills to the north and west, and Westwood to the south. The city was founded in 1887 by John C. Fremont as an agricultural community near what is now Westwood Village. In 1907 it became an incorporated town with a population of 10,000 people; in 1949 it became a city after its annexation by Los Angeles. The name "Lompoc" comes from Rancho Palos Verdes which was given to Captain George Hearst for his part in developing Los Angeles County; Hearst's son Leslie gave it to his father-in-law Peter Kapp who had married Hearst's daughter Louise de la Mole. In 1924 Lomita High School opened and later became UCLA's main campus. In 1951 it merged with other cities in southern California (Pico Rivera, Santa Monica, Downey) to become one of Southern California's five metropolitan areas designated under then-new state law that allowed metropolitan area growth without voter approval or consent from individual cities within its boundaries. During World War II Lomita served as a military airbase providing essential transportation links between North America and Europe; during the war many American servicemen also settled there including singer Bing Crosby who played golf on Isleta Downs Golf Course outside of town before joining up with troops overseas
