The company is now headquartered in downtown Lompoc with a state-of-the-art roasting facility that allows for innovation and growth. The origins of Koffee Klatch can be traced back to two separate companies that operated in Lompoc during the early 2000s. One company was called Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBE) and the other was called Java Joes Coffee Company (JJCO). CBE was founded by Jeff Brady and his brother John who ran a small café on Main Street in Lompoc until they decided to open their own business. CBEwas known for its high quality roasted coffee beans which were sold at local convenience stores throughout Northern California. JJCOaccomplished similar goals as CBE but instead bought all of the assets of Java Joes Coffee Company including its retail locations, roast houses, warehouses, and production equipment. Eventually both companies merged into one brand under the name Koffee Klatch banner with Jay Pritzker as CEO. As part of this merger process, Java Joes Coffee Company became an owner/operator affiliate of Koffee Klatch which allowed them to continue manufacturing their own beans while also being able to sell them through Koffee Klatch’s network of retailers across Eastern California as well as Nevada and Arizona dearspecifically. Koffee Klatch has been working diligently towards creating world-class roasted coffee since 2003 when it first opened its doors in downtown Lompoc following a merger between two different businesses - Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (CBE) from San Francisco Bay Area and Java Joes Coffee Company from Northern California - creating what would become one of North America's leading roasters with over 30 years experience! Lompoc was founded in 1887 by Lando Calhoun. The town was platted in 1887 and named for Lompoc, California, a small community near San Diego. The first post office opened in 1888 and the first store was built in 1889. In 1897, the town had 581 residents and it became an incorporated municipality in 1912. The population increased to 1,827 by 1916 and 2,084 by 1920. It lost its status as an incorporated municipality after it became part of Imperial County.
