It arrived in Lompoc on November 3rd, 1912 and toured various businesses before departing on December 16th for its maiden voyage to Pearl Harbor attacks six days later. USS Enterprise arrived in Lompoc in 1944 after serving as an aircraft carrier during World War II . She was eventually designatedamous training vessel USCGC Salerno which served as a museum flagship until 1989 when she transferred into commission as USS Enterprise Museum Ship #1 in memory of her namesake ship . In 2001 she underwent restorationmonumental retrofit which included new engineering systems that allowed her to operate like an old vintage warship again . Today she is opentothe public every day from 9am-4pm with special exhibits available on select days only

Lompoc is a city in San Luis Obispo County, California. The population was 7,890 at the 2010 census. Lompoc is located on the eastern coast of Monterey Peninsula and bordered by Carpinteria to the north, Solvang to the east, and Pismo Beach to the south. It is known as "The City of Roses" because many roses are grown in its area. The name comes from Lompoc Creek which flows through town. The first people to settle in what is now Lompoc were members of the Chumash tribe who used this site for fishing and hunting trips from present-day Monterey Peninsula. In 1821, Juan Bautista de Anza founded an mission here called Nuestra Señora de la Concepción (Our Lady of Consolation) Mission after his wife's conversion to Catholicism. This very same mission served as a military outpost during Mexican–American War (1846-48). After Mexico's defeat in that war, United States forces arrived here under General Zachary Taylor and burned down much of La Conchita missions including Nuestra Señora de la Concepción Mission on April 12th 1847 while Mexican soldiers were inside taking potshots at Ulysses S Grant's army passing through town on their way back from Santa Cruz Mountains Campaign (June 14-20). In 1861, following Civil War victory over Mexico, Americans started moving into this part of San Luis Obispo County – mostly men seeking jobs building railroads across Central California – but most did not stay long because there weren't any suitable places to live or work outside of downtown Lompoc. In 1865 a group of about sixty women led by Dora Maxey came ashore from steamer USS Sacramento with two hundred acres (80 hectares) donated by local rancher favorably impressed with her work providing milk for horses at San Miguel Rancho near Carlsbad Caverns National Monument until she sold it in 1896 for $3 million dollars ($ today). One hundred years later another waves began arriving: As early as 1951 Japanese students were studying at Point Reyes College near Sausalito before moving permanently ashore when America changed its mind about World War II warmongering and allowed them back into Japan; then again starting around 1970 Vietnamese refugees began coming ashore after boatloads Of their family members had been taken hostage during Vietnam’s civil war; finally beginning more recently Cambodians fleeing political violence in their home country started landingHere too refugees have come since 9/11: A recent example being Yemeni refugees who landed here six weeks ago after their vessel got stuck off Yemen’s coast due to unsafe waters

This led to public outcry in England and a campaign against Napoleonic fleets until finally his army was defeated at Waterloo in 1815. After Napoleonic times ended, gifts from the navies decreased but there are occasional exceptions like HMS Belfast which received a gift from Denmark in 1976. However, these exceptions usually reflect more personal relationships than military projects or warships themselves

Lompoc, California is a city in the San Luis Obispo County of California, United States. The population was 37,846 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Salinas–San Luis Obispo–Paso Robles Combined Statistical Area. Lompoc was founded in 1868 by brothers Josiah and Samuel Loomis as an agricultural town on the banks of the San Joaquin River. The name comes from a Hmong word meaning "big clump." The two towns amalgamated in 1892 to form Lompoc. The city's first post office opened in 1870 and its first mayor was George Waring. In 1906, Lompoc incorporated as a city and named it for Rear Admiral David J. Farragut who had saved many lives during World War I off the coast of Mexico City. On July 14, 1916, Mayor Harry Acheson dedicated a new park located at Fourth Street and Highway 101 near downtown to honor Admiral Farragut and his Navy crewmates killed during World War I In 1919, Lompoc became one of only five cities to receive federal recognition for racial integration when it enacted an ordinance barring discrimination against any group based on race or sex within its limits On October 12th of that year Mayor Harry Acheson announced that all public transportation within the city would be replaced with buses starting on December 1st In 1929 voters passed an ordinance allowing women to vote without having to register with either party As part of this process they were given the right to wear white gloves while casting their ballots

In 1904, Lompoc became an incorporated city and remained so until it merged with Santa Barbara on January 1, 2010.
