In 1934, the company merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company to form Winchester-Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation. The name changed again in 1959 to Winchester Incorporated when it purchased a controlling interest in Remington Arms Company. In 1971, Winchester purchased Charleton Firearms Corporation, which became known as Winchester rifle division (WRD).

Lompoc, California is a small city located in the Central Valley of California. With a population of just over 20,000 people as of 2017, Lompoc is one of the most populous cities in the state. The city was founded in 1884 by John Sutter and named for his rancho (land grant) Lompoc de la Bolsa. The City of Lompoc was incorporated on April 1, 1911. The first post office in Lompoc was opened on December 3, 1885 by Captain George Waddell. In 1907, the first telephone line went into service in Lompoc with the installation of a telco tower at Seventh Street and Pacific Coast Highway. In 1916, an oil refinery was built near downtown and production began that year. The following year saw the opening of the first movie theater in town - The Grapes at 7th & Main Streets. Lompoc has been home to many famous people throughout its history including actress Rita Hayworth and singer Sammy Davis Jr.. Today, much of what makes up downtown core (including the old mill district) remains unchanged from when it housed businesses like Woolworths and Jamba Juice while other parts have undergone redevelopment such as the new condominium towers across First Avenue from downtown which were designed by current Mayor Darrell Steinberg himself.

Lompoc was founded in 1879 by Nesta and Augustus Bowers as a depot on the Santa Clara River. It became an incorporated town in 1909. The original name of Lompoc was Creek Point until it changed to its current name in 1879 after creek running through the community near its location on the Santa Clara River.
