In addition to their five children, Francisco also had another son by his first wife named Manuel who died young without issue. Josefina Margarita married Antonio Moreno y Castro on October 14, 1912 while both were living in Mexicali, Baja California Sur; they had two children: Enrique Moreno y Castro (born 1915) and Carmen Moreno y Castro (born 1917). Enrique became an attorney after studying law at UCLA; he later served as Mayor of downtown Los Angeles from 1965 until 1974; he is currently a professor emeritus at UCLA Law School where he teaches criminal law/prosecutorial practiceseeking restitution cases under state Penal Code section 187(a). Carmen became involved with social work after leaving college; she currently resides in Santa Monica, CA., working as executive director for an international development NGO called Voice for Children & Youth
