Airforce gift history can be traced back to the early days of Menifee Air Force Base. In 1942, the United StatesAAF organized a Gift Exchange program with Great Britain in order to give military personnel and their families items such as clothing, radios, and books. The first year’s exchange netted $128. The program evolved into the present-day RAF Menifee Gift Programme which helps to keep our air force members connected with their loved ones around the world. Since its inception, the RAF Menifee Gift Programme has been a cherished tradition for men and women who serve our country. Menifee, California is a small town located in San Bernardino County, California. The population of Menifee was 9,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Riverside-San Bernardino Metropolitan Statistical Area. In 1887, Menifee's first post office was established and its name was changed to Menifee after a large fruit tree in that community. Today, Menifee is known for its annual Kiwanis Festival which takes place in late August or early September and for its many shopping areas including the Village at Menifee and the Park at Milton Center. The town began as a stagecoach stop on the Butterfield Overland Mail route from Los Angeles to San Francisco. By 1892, when mail service ended through Menifee station on UPRR tracks northeast of town, residents had built their own schoolhouse and sidewalks around it so that visitors could see how well they were doing without having to leave their homes. Eventually other towns along this route followed suit and by 1922 there were nine such towns in Southern California; all but two (Ontario and Murrieta) became incorporated cities within 10 years. In 1925, local resident Clarence Hargrave started selling olive oil from his 2-acre (1 ha) plot of land east of town on State Road 24B just south of Interstate 5′s interchange with SR 24B/UPRR tracks north of town. From this business base he grew men’s clothing store Hargrave’s Clothing & Feed Store until 1978 when it closed due to competition from Sears Roebuck & Co.'s Home Depot chain which opened nearby in 1984. The United States Air Force (USAF) gift history goes back to 1947 when the USAF was founded. The USAF is one of the most diverse and powerful air forces in the world, with over 150,000 personnel and an annual budget of more than $115 billion. Over time, the USAF has received a number of unique gifts from various people and organizations. Some of these gifts have been significant, while others have been less well-known but still provide a fascinating insight into how air force culture works. One such gift is the Manned Maneuvering Unit Training Wing (MMTW) which was donated by General Dwight D Eisenhower in 1961. This unit provided flying training for pilots used by both American military forces and NATO allies. It is also interesting to note that this gift was not just a simple donation – MMTW actually had its own base at Randolph AFB in Texas until 1966! In 1986, General Michael Hayden became Director of Central Intelligence and President Reagan announced his intention to reduce America’s dependence on foreign sources of intelligence. One way that he intended to do this was by creating an National Security Agency (NSA). To meet this challenge, the NSA needed a new facility – one that could accommodate the larger size and variety of signals intelligence devices required for such a large operation. The agency selected Northrop Grumman as its contractor for this project. This gift is perhaps most notable because it demonstrated how important technology can be in modern warfare – especially when it comes to keeping secrets from our enemies! In particular, Northrop Grumman’s design allowed for much greater flexibility in managing signals intelligence devices, making them easier and faster to use – something that would prove essential during Operation Neptune Spear, which aimed to disrupt Soviet nuclear missiles systems during their Test Ban Treaty negotiations!

In 1846, Menifee was founded as a small town in the Owens Valley by Latter-day Saints. By 1860, it had become a prosperous farming community with several churches and businesses. In 1916, Menifee became the capital of Kern County when it was organized. The city has experienced growth over the years, with new development coming to the area around Interstate 5 and I-580. Today, Menifee is an vibrant community with a rich cultural heritage dating back to its founding.
Menifee started as a small agricultural center in the 1850s. The town grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s, thanks to its location on the edge of an elephantiasis-infected area. In 1912, Menifee was incorporated as a city. The following year, it became the site of the first water filtration plant in California. By 1930, Menifee had become one of the most prosperous cities in California. However, during World War II, Menifee was hit hard by rationing and economic depression. Its population dropped by almost half between 1940 and 1945. In 1951, Menifee was renamed after citrus fruit manufacturer Julius Caesar Mann (1863-1948).
