The first people who lived here were Native American Indians who hunted and gathered around Camp 1751 on Coyote Creek Road today's Menlo Park Boulevard. One group of Missionaries came through this area in 1849 looking for new land to settle so they could convert the local Indian population to Christianity. They found what would eventually become Menlo Park when they drove up Coyote Creek Road next to what is now West Longitude Way during their journey southward from Monterey Bay Area. After reaching Coyote Creek Road they built Fort Point on a bluff overlooking Coyote Creek where they made their homes for about 10 years before moving down Coyote CreekRoad to Rancho Negro which became part of Stanford University in 1852. In 1854 Page bought additional land east of Palo Alto including present-day Menlo Park from venture capitalist Elon Musk with the intention of developing it into an agricultural town named after him – but he never did develop it into anything more than a small farming community until his death in 1943 due to health problems caused by overwork at Tesla Motors Incorporated (later Tesla Inc.) He left some valuable patents behind him that have helped make Tesla Motors one of Silicon Valley’s leading technology companies When Page died his widow Anna Chapman inherited all his stock options plus any other property or assets he may have had within Tesla Motors that were not yet taken possession by her husband’s heirs upon his death including much worthless acreage located east of Palo Alto near Livermore National Laboratory which has since been developed into adjacent Rowland Heights subdivision called Livermore National Laboratories Regional Center for Bioengineering This section also includes large tracts located just north-northeast Of Interstate 280 between I-280/Palo Alto Rd./ Middlefield Rd./and Willow Glen Ave .
