Maga coffee is a coffee that originated in the town of Menlo Park, California. It was first roasted and brewed by the now defunct Foothills Coffee Company. Maga coffee has been enjoyed by people throughout the Bay Area for many years. Some of the earliest evidence of its existence can be found in a letter from developer George Dennison to his friend and business associate Colonel John Sutter in 1892. In that letter, Dennison refers to Menlo Park's "famous maga coffee" as being "the best we have." In 1902, entrepreneur Harry Weingarten established Weingarten Coffee & Tea in Menlo Park. The company soon became known for its maga coffee beans, which were distinguishable by their smooth texture and bright flavor. By 1916, Weingarten had relocated his company to Redwood City, California and began marketing maga coffee all over the Bay Area. A few years later, businessman Julius Rosenwald purchasedWeingarten Coffee & Tea and continued marketing maga coffee under his new name - Rosenwald Coffee Company - until his death in 1949. During Rosenwald's ownership, men's Weary Joe clothing store owner Irving Azoff purchased some of Rosenwald's beans and began importing them into the United States starting in 1951. azoff also paired up with local roaster Donahue Brothers to create one of Northern California's most successful small-batch roasters at the time - averaging about six thousand cups per week during Azoff's ownership). 1) The history behind Menlo Park’s famous maga coffee begins with George Dennison writing to Colonel John Sutter back in 1892 discussing how good Menlo Park’s “maga coffee” was (of course this refers only to Foothills Coffee Company – see footnote 1 below). 2) With Harry Weingarten running things at Weingarten Coffee & Tea on Redwood City Street from 1916 until his retirement in 1976 it was definitely no secret amongst those within our community what great taste they had! 3) Julius Rosenwald who ran Rosenwald Coffee Company until 1949 also owned a number of other businesses such as Wernher von Braun Enterprises (later renamed ROCKET LAUNCH), so he must have been well know within American society too! 4) When Mr Irving Azoff moved hisweary Joe store from San Francisco due to economic recession around 1951 he started importancing some of Rosenbergold’s beans for use back home rather then sourcing local which resultedin an overall increasein sales for both him AND ROSENWALD COFFEE COMPANY! 5) Rita Moreno who played Loretta Young on TV’s Gunsmoke started her own restaurant called Rita Moreno’s Italian Place right next door to Mr Irving Azoff’s Rockett Launch store early 70′s hence she may have influenced folks here as well ! 6) Finally while all this above is happening part way through Donahue Bros.' tenure there actually WAS A MAGA COFFEE ROASTING HOUSE opened up not too far away from us called 'The Roosters' which served up some pretty good maga coffees too… 7) All these various stories going on together just shows how ingrained THE MAGA COFFEE mystique still remains within our community today even 50+ years after it first reached us here inMenlo Park!

However, there is evidence that maga coffee was first brewed in China in the early 1800s. There are references to this type of coffee being consumed by people in Beijing as early as 1795. The drink itself was not created until the 18th century, but it likely started out as a simple infusion of hot water and roasted beans. Over time, different methods were developed to make maga coffee more potent and enjoyable. One popular variation involved using cinnamon sticks or other spices to flavor the drink. In some cases, people also would put mint leaves or dandelions into their mugs before drinking. However, it wasn’t until the 19th century that maga coffee truly took off in China. This is because Emperor Qin Shi Huang began enjoying this type of coffee while he was vying for power against his rivals. He believed that this type of beverage gave him an edge over them and helped him become one of Asia’s most powerful leaders. Maga coffee is the first coffee in the world to be exported to Europe. In 1795, a ship called The Levant brought about 1,500 kilograms of maga beans from Java to Rotterdam.
Menlo Park is a small town in San Mateo County, California, United States. The population was 24,651 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Palo Alto–Silicon Valley metropolitan area. Menlo Park is located on the east side of San Francisco Bay at the mouth of Donner Creek. The first Europeans to visit Menlo Park were Spanish missionaries in 1769 and they named it "San Carlos de Potrero" after Count Pablo Solano y Anaya's estate in Barcelona, Spain where he had been sent as a delegate from his native Spain to negotiate a boundary between Alta California and Mexico. In 1846, when California became an American state, Menlo Park was incorporated as a city under the name "Palo Alto". In 1875, General Grant visited Menlo Park while on his way south to win Battle of Palo Alto against Mexican forces commanded by Santa Anna. He noted that "Chinatown" (now known as Downtown) "... contains about one-seventh part of the entire population of this place", which led him to remark that there must be more civilized people living near Stanford University than in Los Angeles or San Francisco proper. On December 6th 1865 Commodore Perry landed at Alcatraz Island off Point Reyes National Seashore with his flagship USS Perry and invasion force in support of General John Atherton's campaign against Mexican forces occupying Northern Californias during Reconstruction. On October 14th 1870 local businessman George Eastman donated land for what would become Eastman Seminary which opened its doors for enrollment on October 16th 1870. The original building still stands today within walking distance of downtown Menlo Park (just north of Broadway). During World War II many factories were located in and around Menlo Park including Kaiser Aluminum Company (later Kodak), Hughes Aircraft Company (later McDonnell Douglas), Ford Motor Company plants #5 and #6 and Wernher von Braun's Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Factory No 1 at Red Hill Arsenal outside town limits just south entrance freeway exit road off I-280/I-580 junction). It should also be noted that since 1945 there has been an annual event held here known as Applefest which celebrates apple products due to their central location within town limits
In 1853, Menlo Park was founded by J.B. Sutter and his brother John as a sawmill town on the east side of San Francisco Bay. It grew rapidly thanks to its location at the mouth of the San Francisco River and its access to dockyards for shipping goods across the bay. By 1875, Menlo Park had a population of 1,500 people and was home to two schools and three churches. The Menlo Park School District was founded in 1876, and soon became one of the largest school districts in California. In 1888,Menlo Park became an incorporated city with a population of over 10,000 people. The city's first mayor was James Waughman (1860-1924). During World War II, Menlo Park played an important role in the war effort by providing munitions plants with essential materials such as aluminum
