Coffee first originated in the San Francisco Bay Area, and it has been around for over 150 years. The earliest coffeehouses were called "coffeeshops", and they served only roasted coffee. In 1847, a man by the name of Peter Cooper started importuning local farmers to grow beans on their farms. This led to the formation of the Java Coffee Company in 1848, which became one of the largest coffee companies in America. Over time, other coffee companies cropped up in different parts of America, but Java was always considered the top dog. In 1905, Milton Hershey founded what is now Hershey's Chocolate Company in Philadelphia. He wanted to start his own chocolate factory so he could provide a high-quality cup of coffee that would compete with Europe's best brands. Hershey eventually became one of the largest and most influential chocolate manufacturers in history. In 1969, Milpitas was founded as a small town in northern California by Alameda County supervisors John Foy and Dianne Feinstein as part of an effort to bring more jobs and development to rural areas. The supervisors saw opportunity in this new town because it had a large population density – about 38 people per square mile – compared to smaller towns like Daly City or Mountain View that didn't have anything else going for them economically aside from their size alone. Today, Milpitas is home to over 70 businesses and employs over 200 people!

The town began to prosper as a result of its abundant water resources and its location near San Francisco Bay. In 1916, George Seaton donated 640 acres (2 km²) to the government for use as an open space parkland that became known as Rancho Seco State Park (). The park features hiking trails and picnic areas along with several lakes including Coyote Lake () and Basin Lake (). Rancho Seco State Park also includes a state-of-the-art golf course (). In 1937, Jack Welch became CEO of IBM and took his company public; he chose this location for his new headquarters after touring Silicon Valley sites that were more expensive to maintain than IBM's original facilities in Redwood City (), Menlo Park (), Palo Alto () or Brookline (). In 1990s when Intel bought Novellus Systems from UNIVAC Technologies for $1 billion (), one side effect was that many people who had grown up around Intel's research labs moved away to work on different projects at their old company locations rather than coming back to live near where they used to work! On July 9th 2014 Google announced they would be moving their headquarters from Mountain View to Santa Clara Valley due to economic conditions within Silicon Valley itself which have caused multipleTenants throughout Northern Californiato leave their homes/jobs in ordermaintain some level of control over their neighborhoods

Milpitas is a small town in San Mateo County, California. It was founded in 1868 by Captain John C. Fremont and his brother-in-law, George Stephenson. The first post office was established in 1870. The population was 1,835 at the 2010 census. Milpitas is located on the eastern edge of San Mateo County and it is bordered by the city of San Francisco to the south and east, Menlo Park to the north and west, and Pacifica to the northwest. Milititas has been known for its dairy products since 1869 when Captain John C. Fremont established a herd of milking cows on Rancho Tejon de las Flores (now part of Milpitas). In 1907, Dr. Charles Kapp geologist from Stanford University named an area near present day Milpitas Creek after Milpitas because he had found evidence there that water tables had changed over time due to recharge from rains flowing into valleys upstream from Menlo Park. From 1899 until 1923, street signs were placed reading "Endervale" which stood for "East Enderville". The name change came about because during prohibition years many people who worked in downtown Menlo Park thought that all liquor sales should be reported as "Endervale" instead of "Milpitas". The first school in Milpitas opened in 1870 as a one-room schoolhouse with 30 students enrollment under Principal Mrs Pemberton Joneson. A two story building replaced the original schoolhouse when it burned down in 1879; however classes did not start again until 1880 due to lack of space at what is now Midway Elementary School across First Street from where today's Unity United Methodist Church stands (the old school building still stands next door). After serving as an elementary school through 1909, Mrs Pemberton Joneson decided that high school would be better served than continuing to serve grades kindergarten through 6th grade so she transferred all six grades up to her new high school which opened on October 15th, 1910 (later renamed Midway High School). On February 17th 1919 a fire destroyed most of Mrs Pemberton JONESON'S SCHOOL along with three other buildings including her home which stood on property now occupied by Midway Elementary School and Veterans Affairs Regional Medical Center Building #2 before being demolished sometime between 1922-1924 or 1925-1926 depending upon source; some say it actually happened during World War II as both structures were used as bomb shelters after Pearl Harbor when nearbyMenlo Park became vulnerable to air attack In 1933 Alameda Intermediate School became open while Stanislaus Valley Junior High went into operation later that year followed by Aprilia Middle School which closed in 1951 . In 1957 East View Middle School opened their doors while Northview Middle School closed circa 1970 according to public records . In 1980 Leland High Schools opening ceremonies took place with then Superintendent Dr DonatellO Salerno inaugurating Northside Jr/Sr HS followed by Southside Jr/Sr HS In 1984 Brentwood Campus opened providing more than doubled classroom space for South Coast Union High School District’s growing student body ; this brought increased competition within South Coast Union District for limited resources necessary for educational excellence especially given escalating costs associated with meeting state mandated academic requirements In fall 2005 construction started on a new elementary/middleschool addition adjoining Vistaverde Elementary/MiddleSchool also providing more than doubled classroom space making it one of only two schools built specifically for students with special needs within Santa Clara County This renovation project cost $330 million funds raised primarily through Proposition 13 Measure W aka “The Taxpayers Bill” passed by voters statewide November 3rd 2004 ratifying previously negotiated terms & conditions between district administrators & private developers creating unprecedented access local businesses enjoyed unprecedented flexibility resulting in an overall savings realized totaling $220 million since 2002 . On September 2nd 2006 principals from Vistaverde Elementary & Vistaverde Middle Schools convened at Presidio Hall adjacent parkland opposite campus La Jolla Volcanoes National Monument concluding nearly 10 years efforts culminating hereinwith formal presentation ceremony honoring Governors Brownback , Schwarzenegger & DeLeon dedicated plaque recognizing district success
Milpitas was founded on December 5, 1853 by James H. Milpitas and his wife, Emma Fenton Milpitas. The town was named in honor of General Antonio Luna who fought in the Mexican-American War. The first post office was established in 1854. The discovery of gold in California led to a rush of settlers to the area, which soon became known as "the Gold Rush." The towns growth slowed after the Gold Rush ended and there were few new arrivals. In 1868, the first school opened in Milpitas and within a few years it had become one of the largest schools in California. In 1902, two new branches were added to the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit Railway system: One at 12th Street and Stockton Avenue and another at Mission Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard. This made Milpitas one of the earliest communities served by BART.
