Gun gift history in Modesto, California began with the purchase of an acoustic guitar by a man named Bob. The instrument was given to his wife as a Christmas present in 1971. It wasn't until 1978 that a handgun was purchased from the Gunsmith Shop on El Camino Real. This weapon would be used in the shooting of two men who were walking home from getting ice cream. The gun was stored at the shop for many years before being passed down to a son in 2001. In 1990, another handgun was purchased from the Gunsmith Shop. This time it would be used to kill two men who were robbing a store. The weapon would stay at the shop for four more years before being passed down to another son in 2002. In 2004, yet another handgun was purchased from the shop and it would become one oflest guns ever owned by Modesto residents. These handguns are still kept at the shop today and are used for target practice and defense purposes only! A few months after this latest purchase, Bob died suddenly while out fishing with his sons. As is often done in such cases, his passing left behind an inheritance that allowed his youngest son to purchase yet another gun from the Gunsmith Shop in 1984- this time it would become one of deadliest weapons ever owned by Modesto residents!
