The Monterey Park Army National Guard unit is proud to have donated many gifts in the past, both to our community and the military. One of our most recent donations was a truckload of military surplus items that we successfully donated to the Monterey Park Police Department. We also gave away brand new rifles and shotguns to the local school system, as well as a variety of other supplies. We are always looking for ways to support our local police department and help out with their needs. This donation was just one example of how we can help make a difference for our community. We appreciate all the donations we've received in the past, and we look forward to continued contributions from our Unit!

Monterey Park, California is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 107,653 at the 2010 census. Monterey Park is located on the eastern edge of the San Gabriel Valley and borders Pasadena to the south, Glendale to the east, and North Hollywood to the north. It is also bordered by Industry and Cypress Hills to its west and east. The name "Monterey" comes from Mission San Francisco de Asís (1795), which was founded on Rancho Palos Verdes by Franciscan priests. The mission became an American military post in 1821 during Mexico's War for Independence. In 1846–47 Mexican nationals were imported as slaves and continued to live in Monterey until their emancipation in 1850. In 1868monterey park commissioners voted not to annex any of Glendale or Pasadena because they felt that these cities did not need more development than Monterey Park could provide given its limited population size. However, this decision led to lawsuits between these two municipalities over annexation rights through the 1870s. In 1888 Los Angeles annexed Monterey Park as part of what would become city hall boundaries. At first residents resisted annexation because they felt that their community should be within the city limits – but after some public hearings they reluctantly agreed with Mayor James Phelan’s plan which placed them outside of downtownLos Angeles so that they could maintain a large open space inside their own borders complete with a football field, baseball diamond, tennis court and other common amenities for their community center (now known as University Community Services). On July 15th 1908 voters passed a resolution designating Katella Avenue as "the boulevard leading into town", thus officially establishing Monterey Park's identity as an unincorporated community surrounded by incorporated areas

Here we will discuss some of the most common military deployments and their associated gift history. Military Deployments: There are numerous military deployments throughout history, but here we will focus on just two specific examples- World War I and II. In World War I, America’s involvement began with America’s entry into the war on April 6th, 1917. The U.S.-British conflict had begun three years earlier when Kaiser Wilhelm I of Germany invaded Austria without warning and made peace negotiations difficult by introducing into Austrian society radical Social Democrats who wanted to end Austro-Hungarian monarchy. In addition to its participation in World War I, America also engaged in World War II from 1939-1945 as part of “the Greater European coalition” which included Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy along with six other countries including Britain, France, Belgium, Greece (Aegean Islands), Norway (Norway Campaign) and Soviet Union (Soviet campaign). This alliance led to death squads known as extermination camps such as Auschwitz which killed more than 1 million people including 700 000 Jews during Operation Reinhard or “The Holocaust” between 1941-1945 alone! It should be noted that while there were many gifts sent home by American troops during these wars - particularly after 1945 - this doesn't include any "official" gifts like statues or flags flown at soldiers' funerals! Additionally, many families would send food donations or money towards their loved ones' behalf so that they could stay healthy while away from home! During both world wars citizens across AMERICA gathered together to help support their servicemen & women by fundraising for charities like Salvation Army & Red Cross etcetera! There wasn't one type ofsoldier who received priority treatment over another; everyone contribution mattered!

Monterey Park is a city located in Monterey County, California, United States. The population was 68,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The first European settlers in Monterey Park were Mexican traders and soldiers who arrived during the 1846-1847 Alta California campaign of General Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna. They called this land Cerritos because of its rich red earth soil which made it good for planting crops and raising livestock. In 1848, Commodore James Kenedy sailed his ship "Golden Hind" from Havana to Monterey Peninsula after fulfilling a secret promise he had made to Mexico City Governor Manuel Micheltorena. He named the peninsula El Camino Real (The Royal Road) in honor of King George IV of England who had sponsored him during his American Expedition into Mexico in 1846-1847. The name stuck and today's Monterey Park is one of several Uptown neighborhoods that are still called "Kenedy Heights." In 1851, following the admission of California as a state, local farmers began packing their potatoes with lime and selling them on the open market near what is now Pacific Union College (now UC Berkeley). In 1861 they built a smalladobe cottage on present day Pico Boulevard just north of South Bay Freeway; this became known as Villa Blanca. A post office was established at Monterey Park on December 16, 1860, by order of President Buchanan under Act No 910 ni 8 Uribe y Gomez. The first Postmaster general was Wm Haddad Goodwin Sr., who served from 1861- 1865 inclusive; he left an important legacy when he donated all his personal effects to the USPS including his library holdings which remain operational to this day as partSJHE Glenmary Branch Library #1
