The history of guns in Monterey Park is one of gun ownership and trade. There are references to guns dating back to 1847, when the first settlers arrived in what is now Monterey Park. In that year, two men named George and Andrew Smith purchase land in present-day Monterey Park from the Mexican government for $7 per acre. They began to build a home on the property, and soon others joined them in the area. In 1867, four years after they bought the land, George and Andrew Smith died leaving their large ranch along with several small holdings to their children. The ranch passed through many hands until it was sold to Julius Strauss in 1923. After World War II ended, Strauss turned his Ranch into an animal training facility called “Strauss Racetrack” which continues today as a popular tourist attraction. There are also references to firearms dating back much further than that – even prior to 1776! A document from that year shows that Juan Serrano had purchased a rifle from José Gomez de la Rúa for $30. It's believed that Jose Gomez de la Rúa was probably one of the first Europeans to own a firearm in California. In fact, firearms were so important during early Californian history that Governor Manuel Nieto issued Executive Order No. 2160 dated November 3rd, 1776 requiring all males over age ten living within 500 miles of any Spanish settlement be vaccinated against smallpox (now known as HPV). This order effectively banned Firearms from most Californians!

Monterey Park, California is a city in Los Angeles County, California. The population was 1,595 at the 2010 census. Monterey Park is bordered by Carson to the east and south, Sherman Oaks to the north and west, Encinitas to the northwest and downtown Los Angeles to the northwest. The area now called Monterey Park was first settled by Native Americans in 1839. In 1853, land grants were made to prominent citizens of Los Angeles County including George Hearst who donated most of what is now Monterey Park. The name "Monterey Park" was chosen because it reminded Californians of a beach on Isla de la Paloma in Mexico which they had seen while visiting Southern California during theirgold rush days. In 1905, construction began on what would become known as Hearst Tower. At that time, it was one of the largest cast iron towers in North America and became an iconic symbol of Monterey Park. Today it still contains apartments and office space within its walls. During World War II there were several large-scale aircraft production plants located within or near Monterey Park including Radford Aeronautical Laboratories (now Lockheed Martin), Hughes Aircraft Company (now Boeing), Japanese Electric Power Co., United States Air Force Plant No. 5 (later Kirtland AFB), San Diego Aircraft Corporation (now McDonnell Douglas) and other companies like Northrop Grumman Aircraft Division (now Boeing). These facilities produced fighter planes such as Lockheed P-38 Lightning bombers and Boeing B-29 Superfortresses for use in World War II as well as later Cold War era jets like Northrop Grumman's XB-47 Hustler strategic bomber series."

Monterey Park is a city in San Bernardino County, California. The population was 954 at the 2010 census. Monterey Park was founded on November 5, 1892 by John A. Roebling as Monterey Heights and became a city in 1913. It annexed parts of nearby Calabasas in 1928 and then Riverside in 1932. In 1966 it merged with neighboring El Monte to form the City of Monterey Park. The name "Monterey" comes from Mission San Diego de Asís, founded by Franciscan missionaries in 1769 on the present-day site of Monterey Park psyche (now part of La Jolla). The first post office was established at Mission San Diego de Asís on December 13, 1848; mail arrived there every day for three weeks before being delivered to Los Angeles through Mexico City. The fortifications around the mission were designed by Captain Nicholas Trimble and built under his direction between 1849 and 1853 as part of an effort to protect southern California against Indian attacks during the Mexican–American War. When Californios moved into what is now Orange County during the early 19th century, they began calling themselves "Mendocino Coors" or "Mendocino people." In 1892, John A. Roebling purchasedación—a tract of land east of downtown Los Angeles—and began developing it into what would become Monterey Park. He named his new community after Mount Moriah (colloquially called Morningside) – one of four peaks visible from downtown Los Angeles just south of Figueroa Street – because he believed that development along Morningside Avenue would benefit all who lived near him: farmers who grew crops near Highway 60; workers helping build Southern Pacific Railroad tracks northward; and visitors coming down Mulholland Drive to enjoyLos Angeles’s Mediterranean climate while still having access to its commercial districts south of Main Street. Roebling's vision for Monterey Park quickly caught on among Angelenos and soon enough, he had a town hall built and started selling postage stamps featuring his new community across from Interstate 10 inside what is now known as Community Hall Station (then simply Community Hall), oppositeCentury 21/24 mall today! Over time other businesses opened up around this iconic building such as grocery stores, dry cleaners & more but Community Hall Station remains unchanged today & provides a great opportunity for photographers looking to document old life within touching distance!
