They had two children: Phebe Bessie (1852-1937) and James Augustus Swayne (1854-1920). soon after they were married, they set out to establish themselves as farmers in California's Central Coast region where they farmed until 1865 when they moved back eastward to join James Swayne Sr.'s cattle ranch near present day Vallejo Boulevard and High Street in Morgan Hill.* James Axton Swayne Jr., one of James Swayne Sr.'s three sons born to him while he was living with his parents west of Sacramento County prior to their move eastward (in 1865), followed his father into farming although he did not complete high school until 1888 at age 24 years old when he became manager/owner/operator of Stroudsburg Ranch&Gift store located at 711 N Main Street Redding CA

Morgan Hill is a small town in Alameda County, California, located on the border of Contra Costa and Marin counties. The population was 27,055 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area. The land that would become Morgan Hill was first settled by Europeans in 1853, when prospectors discovered gold in what is now Contra Costa County. The name of the settlement, given to it by Captain George Gaspar Robinson during his surveys of the area before he founded townships Rancho Negro and Laguna Seca in 1856, derives from an Indian word meaning "hills with Explanatory Rock." The post office at Morgan Hill opened on July 8, 1858, and was named for General James H. Morgan who served as Governor of California from 1851 to1855. In 1863 John Sutter established a citrus orchard here which became one of America's largest and most successful fruit growers; today over 50% of all oranges grown are produced in nearby Concord. In 1898 Morongo Valley began to be developed as a rail-served commercial center with Manufacturers' Warehouse Depot (now known as Watson's Hardware) being built just outside the then nucleus of town on Railroad Street near Old Sacramento Road. By 1907 Morgan Hill had nearly quadrupled its population to its present size with new housing developments such as Noe Valley developing around it along railroad tracks accessed through winding streetscapes which remain largely unchanged today save for some modest sidewalk extensions added during later years when development pressures increased along certain arterial routes within town limits; these days only a few short blocks remain free flowing residential streetscapes - including much of Park Row - while large open areas have been filled with high rise condominiums or other types of commercial buildings providing modern backbone services for this once sleepy little community .

In 1967, Sergeant First Class John Fettermanreceived his 3rd Infantry Division Service Badge posthumously after being killed while serving with Company K/5th Battalion (Heavy) 7th Marines during Operation Neptune’s Spear III – also known as “The Battle for Iwo Jima” which led up to Okinawa liberation operations. This event occurred nine years before Fetterman’s death caused by friendly fire incidents while serving with 1st Battalion (Light), 5th Marines

Morgan Hill is a city located in Contra Costa County, California, in the East Bay region of Northern California. The population was 97,839 at the 2010 census. It is the largest city in Contra Costa County by population and home to two-thirds of the county's employment capacity. The first Europeans to visit this area were Spanish Explorationaries who named it Las Islas de San Francisco (Island of San Francisco). In 1846, John C. Fremont explored these lands from Morgan Hill Station on his Exploring Expedition and named them after General James H. Morgan who had given him direction for this expedition. The community that grew up around Morgan Hill was founded by Captain George Hearn on December 15, 1851 as a small farming town called "Hearnville" about 10 miles east of San Francisco. Captain Hearn's land lay within what is now Oakland and he built his own farm there before moving his family to Morgan Hill on October 12, 1852 when he purchased 640 acres (2 km²) of Rancho Diablo del Norte from José Joaquin Moraga y Costilla. By 1860, Hearn had moved all but his wife and six children to their present location near downtown Morgan Hill where they continued to live until 1865 when they sold their holdings back to Moraga y Costilla for $610 worth of goods including cattle, pigs and horses In 1863 General Edward Kearny set out from Vallejo with 9 officers and 281 men under command on an exploration mission into Alameda County led by Colonel John Foothill Kearny passed through the hills near today's Hayward Fault Zone cutting off accessportation between Oakland and Emeryville so that local farmers could purchase only fresh produce On July 26th 1861 Kearny discovered goldfields north ofpresent day Berkeley while leading an army column along what is now US Route 101 He soon realized that this discovery would be far more important than anything else he had found thus decided not to pursue it further but sent word back home to America that he had discovered a great gold mine in central California
