So they started small, roast only what they found at their local grocery store and sold it directly to their customers. This allowed them to reach a much wider audience than they had before, which helped them grow even faster than they ever thought possible. Newport Beach, California is a city in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 66,553 at the 2010 census. It straddles the Santa Ana River and is adjacent to Downtown Los Angeles. The first people who lived in what is now Newport Beach date back to 1871 when two brothers named John and George Irvine built their own cabin on the site of present-day Dana Point. The following year they opened an insurance company in Anaheim under the name ofJohn D. MacArthur & Co., which became one of the largest insurers in Southern California. In 1907, John D. MacArthur's son-in-law, Will Rogers (of "The Andy Griffith Show"), moved from Pasadena to join his father in Orange County as a result of their shared interests in land and oil production near Seal Beach. In 1923, David Siegel bought some property along the riverbank east of downtown Los Angeles for $1 million dollars; he would develop it into what is now known as Newport Beach Harbor National Recreation Area (NHRA). David Siegel also founded Siegel Properties Inc., which would become one of Southern California's leading real estate developers andowners. In 1957 Newport News Shipbuilding Corporation was founded by Don Litton with plans to build warships for both world wars using shipyards located at Long Beach and Port Orchard on Washington Island off NorthernCalifornia’s coast - today’s Bremerton Naval Base . The navy project failed but Donn Litton followed up with a plan to build homes for naval officers on Laguna Niguel beach between Huntington Drive and La Jolla Shores Boulevard - now part of popular north county walkway dubbed “DonnLitton Way” After World War II ended there seemed little need for warships anymore so Newport News turned its attention to housing developments - first ranches then townhouses before becoming more recent complexes such as Linkswood Village (on State Route 90), Mattole Hills (on State Route 210) or North Coast Villages III (on US 101). Each development boasted its own golf course, tennis courts, clubhouse and swimming pool among other amenities In 1961 DONN LITTON sold his interest in Newport News Shipbuilding Corporation to Isidore Ewing who renamed it Isidore Whitman Enterprises Incorporated - later renamed Whitney Oil Corporporated due to Irving Blauvelt's ownership stake therein during that time period

The history of gourmet coffee begins with Africa. African slaves were brought over to America with the intention of working in the coffee fields. They found that the taste of coffee was very different from what they were used to, so they started creating their own blends. The first gourmet coffee beans were ground up and sold under the name “Pepsi” because it was thought that people would only drink Pepsi if it came from Africa. In 1867, two Italians named Giovanni da Vincenzo Andrioli and Pietro Sforza founded Praline Coffee in Florence, Italy. This company became famous for their high-quality beans and began selling beans direct to consumers rather than through retailers. In the late 1800s, Italian immigrants started moving into North America and began bringing their love of espresso with them. As these immigrants started brewing their own espresso java, they developed new strains of cone bean coffee that had a more robust flavor than those available in Europe at this time. This new style became known as Italian Roast/Extra Bold Coffee which can be found today in specialty stores across the U.S.. However, even though Italian roast/extra bold coffees became popular throughout North America, there was no single country that could claim to be synonymous with gourmet coffee as there are many different styles within each country’s dialectical movement towards modernity (Cameron). Consequently, most references to gourmet coffee come from European sources where this style is often associated with expensive cafes or prestigious restaurants where quality control is stringent (Fowler).

Newport Beach is a town in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 25,790 at the 2010 census. It is part of the San Diego-Tijuana metropolitan area. The first people to live in Newport Beach were the Ohlone Indians who lived along the coast from Point Conception until about 1842 when they were forced off their land by white settlers. In 1853, Capt. John Culp and his crew of shipwrecked treasure seekers discovered oil reserves off Newport Pier and decided to open a refinery there. The first gasoline was produced here on December 6, 1903 by an American Petroleum Company pipeline truck driving over an old crude oil well that had been abandoned for years. In 1906, officials of Orange County voted to annex Newport Beach as its own county; however, it never happened due to political disagreements between Mayor Thomas J. Connolly and then-County Commissioner Charles Whelan. A year later, Connolly persuaded voters in another local election to annex Martinez and other small villages east of Newport beach into Orange County too – this did not happen because Martinez’s mayor opposed annexation). The city of Anaheim annexed Newport Beach in 1959 (which at the time included most of what is now Downtown Irvine). Annexation created new businesses and homes within the city limits which quickly became known as "Newport Beaches." In 1984, Disneyland opened its doors within Coastal Village which lay just north of where today's Boulevard Center sits: Disneyland used to be sandwiched between two neighborhoods - one inside Disney's theme park boundaries and one outside them - but that boundary has since been moved so that much of Tomorrowland can be found within walking distance of both parks now (the former Disney neighborhood now borders Interstate 5). On October 1st 1994 City Councilwoman Janice Hahn proposed amending zoning laws so that all single family homes built prior to January 1st 1987 could no longer be registered with any municipality without first getting approval from Planning Department; this proposal passed 7-2 with Atty./City Manager Don Armstrong dissenting due primarily to concerns about how such a change would impact existing homeowners/developers who had built their homes before those dates while also threatening future development if approval was not granted soon enough (approval finally came through on November 17th1994). On February 3rd1995 Park District Director Don Armstrong announced plans for a $125 million expansion project dubbed "Neptune's Legacy" which would enlarge Seaside Park by adding more than 400 acres (approximately 220 hectares) shoreline including residences overlooking beaches as well as hotel/motel complexes positionednearby on both sides of I-5 along with access roads leading directly out onto the water (the original plan called for Seaside Park itself only), creating one large contiguous entertainment complex located right next door to downtown Irvine!
The first Europeans to set foot on the coast of Newport Beach were Spanish sailors in 1542. In 1892, a group of wealthy Californians organized the first annual swimming and diving meeting onshore at Newport Harbor. The event became known as the "Queen's Cup." In 1915, the city of Newport Beach was created from what was then part of Monterrey, Mexico. The city quickly grew into one of Southern California's largest and most vibrant cities. It hosted many famous events, such as the Hollywood Bowl Parade and the NBA Finals (the first), both televised live in Los Angeles. In 1992, Mayor Driscoll announced that he would be running for reelection against incumbent Bob Filner. On November 5th1992, Filner won with 52% of the vote to Driscoll's 38%. After his victory, Driscll dedicated his time to trying to improve Newport Beach and make it an even more welcoming environment for all its citizens. He also started a number of new initiatives such as increasing park resources, creating new public services like recycling programs and sidewalk maintenance, and developing a master plan for downtown Newport Beach which included plans for residential development as well as expanding commercial areas.
