Maga Coffee is a coffee company based in Newport Beach, California. The company was founded in 2006 by two entrepreneurs, Jonny and Josh Kriegs. Maga is the only coffee roastery in Southern California that specializes exclusively in Arabica beans. Maga Coffee has been praised for its innovative roasting methods and delicious flavors. In 2013, they were named one of the top five coffee shops in Orange County by OC Weekly. Maga has also been awarded a prestigious "Best Place to Drink Coffee" award from the Santa Ana Register. In 1969, a different coffee shop opened called the Java Joes. The Java Joes made it their mission to offer quality java at an affordable price. A Brief History of Maga Coffee Maga coffee is a unique bean that has been enjoyed by humans for over 4,000 years. It is believed that the beans were brought to Africa by Arabs in the 6th century AD and began to be grown here. The beans were then taken back to Arabia and used in early Arabian coffee houses. From there, they spread throughout Europe and Asia before finally arriving in America in the mid-19th century. After being Introduced to America, maga coffee quickly became popular among Americans and was soon discovered by Europeans as well. In 1868, Dutch traders arrived in New York City with some of the first bagged Arabica beans and started trading them with locals. This led to the development of various American coffeehouses that served maga coffee until the early 20th century. The first mention of maga coffee was made in a 1492 document known as The Java Summons from Indonesia which refers to “coffee of great flavor” brewed from “beans of an excellent sort” found at Bali (today’s Jakarta). While it is not clear if this type of coffee was actually consumed or brewed anywhere near Java at this time, it does suggest that such a drink may have been available at some point. Regardless, it wasn’t until 1605 when John Parkinson published his book on Culinary Arts called The English Housewife which featured recipes for tea and other drinks including maga coffee. This recipe survives to this day and can be found online at many websites including Amazon where you can purchase a cup today! Over time, different methods were developed for making maga coffee which included water boiling or roasting etceteras. However, the primary difference between these methods is that boiled or roasted Arabica beans are ground rather than left whole like regular java beans do. Over time however, people became very familiar with this type of bean so much so that even grocery stores started carrying it starting around 1915! By 1930 though, all supermarkets had stopped carrying maga because its popularity had waned somewhat amongst humans! However, aficionados still continue to enjoy this unique beverage today!

After these early shipments, American roasters started to become interested in this unique bean. By the late 1990s, maga was becoming well-known throughout the world.
Newport Beach is a town located in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 66,451 at the 2000 census. In 2008, it achieved town status and has since undergone many changes including annexing Laguna Beach. Newport Beach is located on the mouth of Newport Harbor on Long Beach Island. The first Europeans to visit Newport Harbor were the Spanish in 152 when they explored and charted the area for their navy squadron off San Diego. The Portuguese also visited in 1602 but no settlements were established until 1787 when Captain John Ellis founded a naval post on "Pine Point" (now Beacon Hill) after his explorations of Long Beach Bay preceded those of any European explorer. The first permanent English settlers arrived in 1792 with Captains George Bligh and Richard Wright as part of Commodore John Hawkins's expedition commanded by Rear Admiral Edward Vernon. They named their post "Newport" after Sir Thomas Newport who had sponsored them during their voyage from England. In 1821, acting upon an advertisement placed by General James Keedy for land grants near Los Angeles, 21 people bought 3 acres (10,000 m²) at what is now Point Conception about northeast of present-day downtown Newport Coast Highway and laid out a town called Keedyville adjacent to today's harbor entrance 4 miles wide and 1 mile long. It was built up around wharf activity resulting from trade between vessels sailing into or leaving LACROSSA bay while still under British rule because goods brought overland could not be carried inland without special permission from London authorities. This period of early development can be seen through evidence found throughout Town Center block bounded by First Street/Marinas Boulevard to the north-east; Second Street/Beach Boulevard to the south-west; Third Street/Euclid Avenue eastward; Fourth Street/Dolphin Drive westward which led to location of civic buildings such as Post Office and Bank - all situated along waterfront blocks with access via boardwalk extending seaward from wharf frontage The late 1800s saw increasing America involvement in World War I which caused prices for foodstuffs to rise dramatically as war production increased demand for munitions afloat as well as ashore at dockyards across Orange County including Hollywood Pier where munitions storage facilities continued until 1942 when enemy bombing destroyed most structures within minutes During this time some new businesses were born such as: Wachtel’s Opera House opened in 1916 serving local restaurants downstairs and upstairs while

In 1821, the United States acquired California from Mexico and the Santa Monica Mountains were developed as a U.S. military artillery range. The port of Newport Beach became an important center for American wine exports and was known for its crème de la crème wines. In 1924, the city of Los Angeles was annexed to Orange County and many businesses moved out of Newport Beach to join the growing city. By 1945, however, most of the citrus industry had died out and many people left Newport Beach for more affordable housing opportunities elsewhere in Southern California.
