In 1978, the United States Congress passed the Coastal Zone Management Act which mandated that all U.S. coasts be managed through a system of zones with different levels of protection for different types of vessels and activities. The act also called for a new coast guard station to be established in Oakdale to manage this new zone. In 1992, both Oakdale and Point Conception were closed due to budget constraints and statehood within California led to their respective closures being combined into one station until 1994 when each station reopened separate under new management with continued cooperation between Federal agencies and local governments along with private business partnerships formed for homeland security purposes only (i.e., not coastal defense). - from 1921-1978: The first Coast Guard Station in County was set up at point conception by US Military during World War 1 as part of White Flag program; It became operational on Dec 3 1922; served as Patrol Boats during prohibition era; oakdale barracks built 1928-29 followed by Main Building which housed Office & Barracks 1961-1971 before it became Homeport Center 1975-. - since 1978: One Station has been based in town while another has been located near Airport (~5 miles apart) allowing ample opportunities for interdepartmental cooperation w/ Homeland Security only

Oakdale is a small town in the Central Valley of California, about 25 miles northeast of Fresno. The population was 3,859 at the 2010 census. It is located on the banks of the Kern River and includes part of the unincorporated community of Diamondville. The name Oakdale comes from two tracks that were cut through the forest by early settlers: one ran east-west and led to an oak tree near present day Diamondville, while another ran north-south and connected with a more recent settler named Oakley's Ranch just south of town. In 1853, John Sutter came across what he thought was a grant from Juan Bautista Alvarado for 4,000 acres (1 km2) in what is now Diamondville. He called it "Oakdale" because he saw an oak tree there. In 1861, members of the United States Cavalry found gold near today's Holtzclaw Road and decided to come back soon so they named their new settlement "Diamondville." A post office was established at Diamondville on October 15, 1861, but no mail reached it until December 7th when an American Express rider delivered a package to Mrs. Fenton inside Diamondville containing 5 rolls of silver dollar paper money! Some believe this may have been the first boxmailed package in America! The name changed again on January 1st 1870 when Mr. Fenton donated land for a school which became Oakdale High School; both buildings still stand today as part of diamondvillage Historic District . On July 20th 1879 James Wolkoff set up his small grocery store at what is now known as Wolkoff's Corner in order to provide goods for people living around him who could not get to stores farther away because parts of Elmira had burned down during an agricultural firestorm. His store survived into date until it burned down on February 14th 1923 . While living in Diamondville John Sutter built his own home which still stands today; it has been turned into apartments called The Oaks since 1984). In 1911 Govan Hoxie donated land east of town on Lake Oroza for use as farmland; this area became known as Allendale after Hoxie's death in 1912. For many years all residents lived close together without ever having their own homes or yards - this pattern continued until 1955 when development began nearby that would change everything forever! That year developers started building high schools and other large structures adjacent to town and Oakdale suffered.; village voters approved annexation by Fresno County in 1958 making Oakdale part of the larger city limits

In 1907, when it became a city, Oakdale renamed itself after its most famous resident - Dr. Samuel Jaffe - following his death in 1905 at the age of 85 years old. In 1932, Oakdale voters passed a proposition to annex part of Kern County to create a new city with a population of 100,000+. The annexation resulted in the loss of much of downtownOakdale and its mmunity Stadium for housing development until it was re-landscaped and reopened as an arts center in 1984 known today as Arts District (formerly Main Street). The realignment of streets that took place during this time also impacted downtown which now fronts east on Broadway Avenue and west on D Street instead of south on D Street and east on Market Street which once served as their original town square/marketplace
