It is a fact that the air force gift history in Ontario, California dates back to World War II. The first air force unit to arrive in Canada was the 121st Bombardment Squadron, which arrived at Toronto on December 7th, 1942. The squadron was part of the 6th Bomber Group and operated from bases in eastern Canada. In 1943, the squadron relocated to Moncton, New Brunswick and began operations against Germany. On November 10th 1944, the 6th Bomber Group was redesignated as the 3rd Bombardment Wing and its units were re-equipped with Boeing B-17 Flying Fortresses. On July 15th 1945, when Japan surrendered unconditionally and all US forces left Asia, the 3rd Bombardment Wing became an Air Force Reserve Unit under control of Air Headquarters Canada. It flew Operation Overlord (the Normandy landings), which saw heavy damage inflicted upon Canadian military installations by Allied bombing raids during that campaign. In 1947, when Air Headquarters Canada changed its name to Air Canada Authority (ACA), it became responsible for all aspects of civil aviation within Canadan airspace including flying military aircraft for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and other law enforcement agencies. This gave rise to industry-specific gifts being given by ACA members such as Northrop Grumman Corporation’s contribution of two Lockheed L-929A Constellation jet trainers which were used by RCMP detachments at various airports across Canadan airspace; Bell Aircraft Company donated three Boeing 727 jetliners used by commando groups operating out of various locations across North America;[1] Alliant Techsystems Incorporated donated four Douglas DC-3 Airlink transport planes used by 441st Troop Carrier Wing – a Special Operations unit equipped with modified Ford Pinto cars used for infiltration into enemy territory[2]; finally MacDonald Aircraft Industries Ltd., contribute one McDonnell Douglas F4U Corsair fighter plane[3]. These types of donations continued until after ACA disbanded on October 1st 1996 when all civil aviation functions were transferred over to Transport Command alone. The Ontario Air Force Museum in Oshawa, Ontario has an air force gift history dating back to the 1940s. In 1941, the Government of Canada authorized the purchase of a Messerschmitt Bf 109E-4 fighter aircraft from Germany. The plane was delivered to the newOntario Air Force Base (now CFB Trenton) on October 31st, 1941. In 1946, the Ontario Air Force purchased a Boeing 377 Stratofortress airliner from Boeing Canada Limited. This airplane served as both an trainer and experimental transport squadron with many notable achievements such as being used for Operation Overlord which led to Allied victory in Europe. In 1951, the airline division of Boeing Canada was merged into Canadian Airlines Corporation and this airplane became known as CASA Canadan 737-800JX. It was retired by Canadian Airlines in 1987 and stored at Toronto Pearson International Airport until it was sold tothe OntarioAir Force Museum in Oshawa for restoration in 1992. The museum's collection includes over sixty aircraft from various militaries across North America including three RAF Lancaster bombers that were added during WWII courtesy of Lord Beaverbrook who also donated two Spitfires! The museum also owns an original Whitley bomber which served with No 1 Squadron RAFVR during WWII!

Ontario, California is a small and diverse state located in thewestern United States. The state spans 1,500 miles from east to west and has a population of just over 11 million people. It is bordered by Nevada to the south, Oregon to the west, Arizona to the north and Sonora County, Mexico to the east. Ontario was founded in 1849 as part of General George Custer’s ill-fated attempt to cross the US-Mexico border. The region that now makes up California was first populated by Native American tribes and then by Spanish settlers. In 1846, when Mexico ceded most of what is now California to America, much of this area became part of what is now Alberta Province. In 1850, Ontario became part of Canada because it was included in the new North American Union. The history of Ontario begins with its founding as an agricultural colony on Vancouver Island during British Columbia’s Gold Rush period (1858-1864). At first, colonists weremostly men who worked on gold Mining operations on Vancouver Island or onshore at various points along the coast. By 1870 there were over 1,000 people living in Anthony Township – one-seventh of all Ontarians – including many women and children who worked as farmhands or servants for their wealthier neighbors. However, within a few years Anthony township had become almost deserted due to low crop yields due to lack of attention from English farmers and entrepreneurs looking for new land sources for their crops after crushing defeats at Expo ’68 in Montreal and other global events that signaled changing times for Canada’s economy both politically and economically. By 1872 only about fifty people still lived in Anthony Township; however six families managed farming operations which produced 4 tons per acre (14 metric tons/acre)of wheat harvest; four horses pulled plows; five cows milked sixty gallons per day (2 liters/day); three telephones served nine hundred residents; two churches functioned as schoolhouses while one also housed a dispensary providing medical care; two stores supported local commerce with goods brought down from Victoria BC.; Anthony township had become an independent communityalbeit with some ties with neighbouring communities through agriculture trade guilds., but nonetheless slowly vanished into history until its reclamation starting taking place around 1990 amidst increased interest in Canadian history through initiatives such as Canadian History Month
