The Marine Corps Reserve has been deploying gift history in Ontario, California for more than 50 years. The tradition began with Marines who served in World War II. After the war, many of these Marines decided to stay in the military and joined the Reserve. Today, there are over 22,000 Marines members in the Reserve who serve throughout California and other states. The Gift History Program provides an opportunity for individuals and families to share memories of service together. It is a unique way to show love and support to our Military men and women who have dedicated their lives to protect our country. Gifts can be any type of item, including items such as clothing, tools, or memorabilia from past deployments. In 1978, the program began sending gifts baskets filled with goods donated by local businesses. This gave people an opportunity to connect with their Marine friends and see how they lived life on base during those times. In 1994, the program changed its name to Marine Corps Memorial Day Gift Basket Program and now sends gift baskets filled with items from local businesses during March Madness month!

The Marine Corps is a service that has been through many changes in its history. One of the most recent changes has been the deployment of Marines to various countries around the world. This has given them a chance to learn new customs and cultures, and also help build relationships with local communities. One of the earliest deployments for the Marines was to Haiti in 1959. since then, they have deployed to over 20 different countries. Each time there has been a different challenge faced by the Marines and their teammates. They have responded well to these deployments, and have made some great friends along the way. Some of the biggest celebrations for Marine Deployments comes during Christmastime. This is when all of their Deployment buddies come together and celebrate with food, drinks, and fun! In 2013, they also celebrated 10 years since their deployment to Iraq!

Ontario, California is a small and isolated corner of the United States of America. Only about two-thirds of its population lives in the city of Los Angeles, while most of the rest resides in rural counties surrounding the state capital. The history of this area goes back centuries, with Indian and Chinese settlements dating back to before European settlement. Today, Ontario is known for its wine industry, beautiful natural scenery, and unique culture. Ontario was first settled by Native Americans in what is now California. One group led by Chief Manuel Nieto arrived in 1769 and built an encampment on Rancho Seco near present-day Los Angeles. They were followed by another group led by Captain George Vancouver in 1772 who discovered rich goldmines at Sutter's Mill on the Sacramento River. These discoveries helped inspire early Californians to try their hand at mining – both Mexican (born Spaniards) and Englishmen (born Britons) did so as well over the next few years. With new gold discoveries came new immigrants – many from Ireland who came looking for a chance to escape religious persecution at home. By 1851, there were more than 10,000 Irish people living in California; they primarily worked on estates farther south along the coast until closed down following a law enacted during Andrew Johnson's presidency that made it illegal for any foreigner to own land east of San Francisco Bay without legal resident status. As conditions deteriorated within these traditional labor markets during the late 19th century – with falling wages and increased competition from other stateside industries – Irish Catholics began migrating northward into Canada where they formed large concentrations among miners and farmers around Toronto and Montreal before finally reaching Ontario starting in 1904. This migration created a large Irish Canadian middle class which continued to grow throughout much of North America through social services such as health care and welfare provision after World War II when some Canadians returned home “home free” but many others continued living abroad permanently or temporarily until called back home again after hostilities ended1945-46

In 1850, California became an American state and Ontario was made the first Canadian province within it.
