Coffee has been enjoyed by humans for over 8,000 years. The first coffee beans were found in the region that includes Orange Cove, California, in the early 1800s. In 1909, Italian-owned and -operated Donato Coffee opened the first espresso stand in Orange Cove. Donato's coffee was considered high quality because it used a French press to roast its beans. In 1916, Dutchman Willem de Koffeij came to Orange Cove with his new coffee company, De Koffeij Coffee & Tea Company. De Koffeij became well known for their excellent Colombian coffee beans and their unique roasted bean flavors. In 1967, Dutchman Hendrik Brouwer purchased De Koffeij Coffee Company and moved its operations to Santa Ana, California. At Hendrik Brouwer's death in 1998, his son Theo took over as CEO of De Koffeij Coffee Company. Theo continued the family tradition of producing high quality coffee until 2010 when he passed away at age 92. Today there are many small roasters located throughout Northern California who continue to produce excellent cup of Joe’s from the birthplace of espresso – Donato Coffee!

The name "OrANGE COVE" comes from a local Indian word meaning "the color of oranges." Although its location made it difficult to cultivate grapes for wine production and other agricultural products during most of its history, Orange Cove played an important role in early citrus growing and harvesting due to its strategic location between two major canals which provided easy access to watermelons and other fruits. In 1876, Capt. Wm Hemenway developed a fruit orchard here which became one of the largest in Southern California. Today's orange groves are home to over 100 varieties of oranges including some that were not found anywhere else before! One reason why Orange Cove has been so successful in the fruit industry is that it has had very few natural disasters affecting its land or infrastructure - something many smaller towns can only dream about! One example is how Stonington Dam failed catastrophically in 1989 but did not cause any loss of life or damage to property; this type of infrastructure redevelopment occurs more frequently in larger coastal communities where disasters happen more often! In 1830–31, Dutch explorer Jacob Roggeveen chartered an expedition to exploreJava's interior; he saw evidence that there was a great deal more oil than coal inside Java's Rift Valley (). He reported this information back to Amsterdam; however, no action was taken because it seemed unlikely that suchinfo would result in significant wealth being generated by exploiting this valuable resource (). China started importing large quantities of rice from India about 220 BC; this new crop allowed China to become self-sufficient in food () . About 10% of Chinese GDP came from trade with other parts of the world during the Han Dynasty (); however, since tea made up about 60% of Chinese GDP (), Coffee played only a minor role within these totals (). After investigating different methods for growing premium coffees (), Wang Jingjing developed his original method for Indo-Chinese grown Arabica beans () . This process involved drying bean pods over fires before crushing them into fine powder (). Afterward,, Wang mixed these dried beans with Malaya black pepper () , Asia Minor cloves (), Chinese cinnamon (), Indian green cardamom (), Japanese ginger () , Indonesian vanilla pod flowers (), Southern Burmese rose petals () , Malaysian red pepper () , Vietnamese ginseng ()) . This unique blend gave rise to Wujiaobou Coffees (); today’s Wujiaobou operations are located at Yongzhou Village on Fujian Province’s Nanking City outskirts (). Over time various other variations have been tried including using French vanilla pod flowers instead thereof(), adding groundnut meats or peanuts instead thereof(), etc.) However generally speaking,, all Wujiabou Coffees contain at least 60% Arabica beans originated from Indonesia/Malaysia/. Some modern producers also grow specific varieties such as Varietal No1 which contains particularly rich flavors due to its location on an elevated plateau surrounded by scorching sunbaked desert sands

The first African slaves were imported to America in the 18th century, and they started planting coffee trees there. The Dutch became very interested in this new crop, and some of their ships made stops at Java's two main ports, Batavia and Jambi, where they would buy coffee from local farmers. By 1856, a company called Koffiekeuken had been founded in Rotterdam as a business selling Dutch-roasted coffee.
Orange Cove is a small town in Orange County, California, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Santa Ana metropolitan area. The first permanent settlement in what is now Orange Cove was established by Captain John Sutter and his party of Missionaries on November 7, 1827. The town's name comes from the color orange which was used as a warning to all who passed through its boundaries not to steal oranges from the trees on their property. Today, Orange Cove still stocks some of those oranges and other fruits that inspired its name.
In 1876, the first white person set foot on what is now Orange Cove. The family of Captain John Sutter, who founded the town of Sacramento in 1849, came ashore from their shipwreck and landed on a small island in the bay. They built a cabin and named it Irvine. The town was established by an act of the California Legislature on November 15, 1876. It was located at what is now Harbor Blvd., just south of where Pomonok Creek flows into the Bay. The town had a population of about 100 people when it was incorporated. The first school in Orange Cove was opened in 1880 by Mrs. Jensine Smith. It served as a training ground for local teachers until 1906 when a new school building was erected at Harbor Blvd., which remains today as Orange Cove High School. After World War II, many military personnel stationed in Southern California moved to Orange Cove and its adjacent townships during the postwar boom years. Because there were no schools available for them to use, some parents decided to send their children to private schools outside of town while others sent their children to public schools within walking distance of home.
