In 1918, the first military airfield in Orange County was established at Fullerton Army Air Field. The facility helped unite the warring parties by providing fighter planes and other aircraft for use in combat. It also served as a training ground for pilots and their crews. In 1941, the United StatesAAF activated Camp Pendleton Army Air Base on Newport Coast of California. This base became an important source of airpower during World War II. It housed Curtiss P-40E Warhawks, Lockheed P-38 Lightning fighters, B-24 Liberators, Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bombers, and Douglas A-20 Havoc dive bombers. The base also played a significant role in the Battle of Midway where Japanese forces were decisively defeated by American forces using fighter planes and bombers flying from Naval Station Long Beach on July 17th, 1942. After World War II ended, Camp PendletonArmy Air Base was closed down and its assets transferred to Goodyear Proving Ground which is now known as Wright–Patterson AFB in Dayton Ohio USA (the current home of the US Department of Defense). In 1949, Goodyear Proving Ground became part of NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center which continues to play an essential role in space exploration today! Today’s Air Force is diverse with over 350 branch members spread across 31 states across 5 continents! Orange is a small town in southern California. The population was 12,898 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. The history of Orange begins with Rancho Cucamonga, a grant given to Juan Solano by Mexican governor Pío Pico in 1836. In 1885, orange trees were brought to Orange from Citrus Heights by J.P. Morgan and brothers John and Jameson Durant as part of his effort to introduce citrus fruits around the world. The Oranges that were grown here are some of the most popular in all of Southern California because they are sweet and tart with a unique flavor that few other fruit juices can replicate. Orange is located on Interstate 5 near Disneyland, about 25 miles east of downtown Los Angeles and about 30 minutes south of downtown San Diego on I-5's exit 143B for State Route 66 (SR 666). SR 666 connects Orange with downtown San Bernardino to the north, Riverside County to the west, and Ventura County to the south; it is also one half mile wide between SR 666 and I-5's center line!
In the early 1900s, the United States Air Force was founded as an air force of independent nations. The first U.S. military airman to set foot in Europe was Major General James A. Wingate, who flew reconnaissance missions over Germany during World War I. The United States Air Force reached its peak during World War II with participation in many campaigns and operations including the Normandy Invasion, Operation Overlord and the Battle of Okinawa. After the war, strategic bombing became a key part of USAF strategy and today it is one of America’s most important weapons capabilities. Today, there are more than 1,500 active duty USAF service members stationed worldwide and more than 650 reservecomponent members providing support for mission requirements at home or abroad. The USAF operates five bomber wings which include Twelfth Air Force (Eighth Air Force), Fifteenth Air Force (eleventh Air Force), SeventeenthAir Force (thirteenthAirForce) and NineteenthAirForce (twenty-ninthAirForce). Additionally, there are three bomber groups: Strategic Airlift Command’s(SAM) Boeing 747-400 Flying Fortress Wing; Marine Corps Reserve’s Nimitz Class Aircraft Carrier Strike Group Fourteen;and Army National Guard’s C-130 Hercules Special Operations Squadron Oneixty-Six equipped with Northrop Grumman P-3 Orion maritime patrol aircraft

Orange, California is a small town located in the Central Valley of California. The community was founded in 1857 by Mormon Emma Hale and her husband Joseph Smith, who named it after the orange tree that grew in their garden. For over a hundred years, Orange has been an important agricultural center for the surrounding area and its economy has been based on crops such as oranges, almonds, and apples. In recent years, however, Orange has become an attractive destination for tourists due to its natural beauty and unique history. The first people to live in what is now Orange were Native American traders who discovered oil wells near present-day Anaheim Hills in 1853. Afterward, farmers began settling the area around Orange and soon became successful because of its productivity of fruits and vegetables. By 1886, however, most of the citrus production had stopped due to a combination of factors including disease and new technology used by growers in other parts of California. However, orange farming did continue until World War II when it was replaced by grapes as the primary crop here. During World War II many Japanese soldiers were stationed here along with other Americans during the Occupation of Japan which led to some strain between these groups. However, overall relations between Allied and Axis forces were good until 1945 when Japan surrendered without waging any war against America or Great Britain. As a result of this event (and others), much interest arose among commercial interests throughout Asia in purchasing property adjacent to Los Angeles County which would eventually lead to Orange being incorporated into Los Angeles County on November 3rd 1853 as part of that process. Since then there have been numerous economic changes associated with both annexation/ incorporation as well as various population movements within Los Angeles County relevant to both industry/ service jobs while also housing developments for workers from other counties/states within LA at various points throughout history; typically around major events like county fairs or citywide elections etcetera leading up to full incorporation either through vote or ordinance by county officials etcetera but no real change taking place except perhaps name change which generally happens after annexation ;)
Orange County, California was founded on December 27, 1853 by Captain John Sutter and his party of Californio settlers. The first permanent European-American settlement in the county was at Mission San Diego de Alcalá, which had been founded in 1769 by Franciscan missionaries. In 1821, Mexico ceded California to the United States as part of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. As a result of this treaty, Orange County became part of the newly formed United States Territories of Nevada and Arizona. The first post office in Orange County was established in 1857, and until 1912 it operated under the name "Los Angeles." The name change came about because Los Angeles City Hall at that time used " Anaheim" as its mailing address. In 1871, a group of businessmen from Stockton organized what would become known as the Irvine Company to develop land north of Anaheim into what is now Orange County. The company developed oranges instead of maize because during those days there were no other crops for sale in northern California beyond wheat and barley. In 1915,zonation boundaries were redrawn following World War I when it became clear that many people who once lived in eastern or western Santa Clara County now lived within Orange County proper including Menlo Park and Palo Alto
