That year, a group of entrepreneurs decided to start their own roasting company in the town of Anaheim. The business quickly became successful and soon began exporting their beans all over the world. The first time we taste fresh-roasted coffee was in 1886 when a group of businessmen from Anaheim started their own roasting company. We can thank them for introducing us to this incredible beverage! Over time, there have been many different companies who have produced delicious and refreshing roasted coffee products throughout Orange County. Orange is a city in Orange County, California. The population was 267,711 at the 2010 census. It is located in the Central Valley and its boundaries are as follows: (northwest) Orange to the east, Anaheim to the south, and Riverside to the west. The first people who lived in what is now Orange County were Native American traders and travelers from Northern Mexico who passed through on their way to trade with settlements along San Diego Bay. In 1821, Captain John Sutter established Sutter's Fort at present-day Santa Ana after finding rich soil and water resources near Yaqui Punkt within Mexican territory. The fort served as a trading post between Alta California and Southern Nevada until it was abandoned in 1825. In 1828, General Antonio López de Santa Anna ordered Major José Joaquín Cámpora to build an adobe jail near what is now downtown Irvine for hold Paso Robles criminals before they could be transported back upstate for trial. As construction began on the jail, local citizens built a small wooden church which became known as "El Pueblo del Pastor". After several years of construction, including enlarging and remodeling existing buildings on Main Street, Padre José finally completed his jail on April 12 of that year. Santa Ana directory for 1829 lists El Pueblo del Pastor as one of two churches in town; both were dedicated by padre José himself. A short distance away from El Pueblo del Pastor stood another small chapel also dedicated to Our Lady of Guadalupe which served as a place of worship for many settlers during this period including Father Samuel Morse who founded modern-day Irvine when he came overland from Las Vegas in 1853 carrying news about America's new democracy

Orange is a city in Southern California, located on the Central Coast of the United States. It is part of the San Francisco Bay Area and is home to over 650,000 people. The first Europeans to visit Orange were Juan Rodríguez Cabrillo and his ship La Paz on October 7, 1542. Orange was founded by Englishman John Sutter in 1824 as an agricultural center for the region. In 1847, oranges began being shipped from Orange County to Northern California for market. By 1870, citrus production had outgrown farming and became a major industry with processing plants such as Citrus Heights and Oranges (now part of Anaheim), Anaheim Hills, and Mission Viejo developed around it. In 1916, local officials decided that Orange should become its own city under one government. The new city was incorporated on November 2, 1916. The City of Orange has been through many ups and downs since its establishment but always manages to stay positive despite some challenges like fires that ravaged parts of town during the 1906 San Francisco earthquake (the worst natural disaster in California) or testy relationships with other cities in the Bay Area due to competition for economic development opportunities or geographic rivalry over transportation access
In 1848, the United States of America acquired much of what is now Orange County from Spain. In 1853, gold was discovered in nearby Mendocino County and streams were named for the valuable mineral by U.S. miners – such as Don Pedro del Rio and Don José Castro. The name “OrANGE COUNTY” was chosen in honor of these 35 pioneers who incurred much hardship trying to establish a new landowning society on this confiscated territory. The county seat at Orinda arrived in 1854, following construction of the first courthouse on San Joaquin Street by Township trustee George Pyle. The growth of citrus farming allowed for more annexation and development within the county during the early 20th century. By 1910, there were 12 municipalities within Orange County with a population over 10,000. During World War II, many local military facilities were built or expanded due to the need for munitions production; including Fort MacArthur (1942), Camp Pendleton (1943), and Redlands Army Air Field (1945). After the war ended, many businesses closed down because of increased competition from suburbanites; however, some large-scale projects such as Lake Oroville Dam remain important to Orange County history today.
