As part of this year'sOperation Homecoming weekend initiative, members of Congress were also given gifts on Saturday night during a special dinner at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBLHD) in New Jersey . These gifts included books on Capitol Hill history from Congressman Christopher Shays (R-Conn.) . In addition, representatives from various state government agencies received presents including water pistols from New York State Senator Tom Duane (D-Nassau) ; laptop computers from Pennsylvania State Representative Rick Saccone (R-Pa.) ; hats from Arizona Republic reporters John Floyd (columnist) & Donnie Snider(reporter), among others
