The Oroville coffee industry started in the early 1800s when a group of farmers in this small town started to growing coffee. The first cup of roasted coffee was made on November 30, 1873 by Mr. Fenton and his wife Mrs. Fenton at their home. The first beans were grown on a small family farm and they were roasted and packaged by hand. In 1886, Mr. & Mrs. Baxter bought the farm that now houses the Oroville Coffee Company and began processing and marketing their own beans. They also manufactured coffeemakers which became very popular among other businesses around town because of their efficient design. In 1916, the company moved to its current location where it continues to roast and package its own beans today.

In the early 1900s, Oroville was a small agricultural community located near the junction of U.S. Route 395 and State Route 102. The Gomez family operated a grocery store and served as the town's first mayor. The Gomezes continue to operate their business today and their beans are now sold across the United States.
Oroville, California is a city in Sonoma County, California, United States. The population was 25,703 at the 2010 census. It lies on the Oroville River and is east of Napa Valley. The City of Oroville dates back to 1871 when it was laid out as part of Rancho El Dorado. In 1896, the towns of Anza and Yuba were established within the limits of the new city and they retained their own rights to government until 1959 when both Towns joined forces with Oroville to form one city. The original name for the merged town was Anza-Yuba but this name was changed in 1957 to honor General John J. Pershing who had fought in World War I and helped win America's victory over Japan at Battleof San Francisco in 1919. In 1951, construction began on what would become known as State Route 49 which connected downtown Oroville with Yuba Falls via a bridge across the river. Completed just two years later, this state highway effectively divided downtown into two portions – one for residents living near State Route 49 while the other served primarily by tourists visiting Yuba Falls from downtown Oroville. Today only 1/3 of State Route 49 remains open to traffic while most of it has been converted into parkland or Lennox-San Bruno National Forest trails essential for outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, cross country skiing and white water rafting. The remaining section between Highway 12 (now renamed Highway 16) and Interstate 5 serves as a rural connector allowing motorists Directions towards Stockton or Sacramento through miles of farmland heading north before terminating at I-5 exit 128B about 4 miles northeast of town center in Glenn Lake Regional Park

Oroville is a small city in Northern California, located at the intersection of State Route 95 and County Road 162. The population was 5,579 at the 2010 census. Oroville is part of the Modesto–Sunnyvale–Arden–Arcade, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is named after General John C. Frémont, who fought in the Mexican-American War and then served as governor of California from 1851 to 1853. The town began as a small farming community called Newell's Landing on the Feather River in 1859. In 1865, it became an agricultural center when large farms were brought upriver bythe Central Valley Gold Rush. By 1870, Oroville had become an important commercial and transportation hub for agriculture and other industries north of Sacramento. During World War II, Oroville was home to three naval airfields: Naval Air Station Northrop (now Delta Air Lines' Alameda Airport), Naval Air Station Miramar (now Joint Base San Diego-Tijuana) and Naval Auxiliary Field "Almaden" (now Alameda Regional Airport). These facilities played a significant role in American military policy during World War II; they helped produce much technological early warning equipment that was crucial for defense against Japanese attack. Today, only Northrop remains operational as an airfield; both Miramar and Almaden are now used for civilian purposes. The city experienced rapid growth after its incorporation into Stanislaus County in 1959; it reached a population of 10,000 by 1970 but grew rapidly to more than 25,000 by 1990. However, progress stalled during the late 1990s due to economic recession and increased competition from surrounding communities such as Martinez Rancho Cucamonga and Pleasanton. Since 2000, however, there has been significant redevelopment with new businesses opening up near downtown Oroville along with new housing developments around the airport area which have suburban feel but are still close to downtown activities including shopping centers or schools
Oroville was founded in 1859 by Captain George C. Smith, and grew quickly to become one of the most important towns in California. The town was named for General James H. Orokin, the first white settler in the area. In 1865, Oroville became part of California's newly formed Central Valley when it was split from Northern California. The town experienced increased growth during the late 19th century as farmers moved into the central valley to cultivate rice and other crops. However, World War I caused a sharp decrease in population due to military service and then-new technology led to decreased demand for agricultural goods and employment opportunities within the town itself. The 1920s were also a time of great change for Oroville as many residents shifted their allegiance from Republican Party politics to the Democratic National Committee (DNC). This shift helped fuel a rapid growth throughout both the local government and business community after1920 until economic conditions began to decline during World War II. During World War II, Oroville experienced significant construction activity thanks to its location on Highway 395 between Sacramento and San Francisco along with its proximity to major munitions manufacturing plants located in nearby Livermore and Benicia Counties. These industries produced large amounts of pollution that affected both people living near these facilities as well as those outside of town who encountered health problems from breathing in toxic particles created by production processes such as burning gasoline or oil refining
