The name was given to it by Spanish explorers in 1769 when they passed through the area on their way from Mexico to San Francisco. Rancho Isleton was granted to José Maria Isleton in 1835. A post office called Isleton was established in 1847, and remained in operation until 1959. In 1888, two brothers named George and William Boyce founded an agricultural company named Boyce-Boyce Land & Water Company which became one of the largest land owners and water provider in Southern California during the early 20th century. In 1916, George Boyce sold his interest in the company to his nephew Floyd Cramer for $2 million. The citrus industry began developing around here during World War II because of wooden crates used for shipping fruit from Long Beach upstate New York; these crates were converted into ox carts for transporting oranges directly to markets throughout Southern California instead of using trains or roads

The popularity of coffee soon spread and by the early 1900s, most major cities had their own coffeehouses. Some famous locations where Tactical Coffee was served include The Ritz-Carlton in New York City, The Plaza hotel in Chicago, and The Mayfair Hotel in London. In addition to its importance as a beverage, Tactical Coffee also played an important role during World War II. Many soldiers who fought in the war needed caffeine to stay focused and motivated. To provide these soldiers with what they needed, Levy’s set up a cooperative relationship with Dunkin’ Donuts which supplied Combat Coffee beans to different units on battlefields around the world. Despite all its success over time, one of Tactical Coffee’s biggest failures was its decision not to enter into any formal partnerships with other beverage companies during its golden years. This lack of collaboration likely doomed it when technological advances made it easier for others to produce better-quality coffees at lower costs than Tactical Coffee could ever hope to match alone. However, through entrepreneurship and hard work, Levy’s has regained some degree of recognition among coffee lovers today – 14 years after his company ceased operations (although he still actively sells coffee online).
